What is LED Lighting Supply Gymnasium Lighting?

There are 2 types of gymnasium applications. The first type is in a school where sports are played. The second is a fitness center, boxing club, workout space, yoga gym, or weight-lifting gym.

LED Gymnasium Lighting FAQs

What are the Best LED Gymnasium Lights?

The best gym lighting is the one that meets your needs. And beyond foot candles and balance, make sure you think about gym lighting fixtures that are impact-resistant. We can offer IK10 impact-resistant lights and motion sensors to dim the gym when it’s not used. The best way to find the best LED light is to start by creating a lighting plan to find the right light for your specific needs.

What Are the Benefits of Using LED Lights in Gyms?

There are many benefits including energy savings (50% or more), reduced maintenance costs, and high light quality. LED Lights are also instant on / instant off and many of the lights are customizable with color adjustable and wattage adjustable options.

What's the Best Way to Reduce Shadows on the Gym Floor?

Reducing shadows is a function of light balance, which is as important as brightness. No one wants to play in the shadows. Fewer high-powered lights are more likely to create bright areas with more shadowing than lower-powered lights.

How Do LED Lights Improve Visibility and Safety in Gyms?

In sports gymnasiums, no one wants to play under sub-par lighting. It’s not good for the athletes or spectators. The right amount of light and balance of light makes for a great playing and viewing experience.

In fitness centers, presenting an inviting environment is good for business. Gymgoers do not want to work out in a dark, dungeon atmosphere.

What Color Temperature Is Ideal for Gym Lighting?

There are two great color temperature options. The first is 5000K, and the second is 4000K. We also recommend selecting a color-adjustable gym fixture so you can change the color temperature post-installation.

What Is the Lifespan of LED Lights in Gyms?

You can expect a lifespan between 50,000 and 100,000 hours for these lights.

Is It Easy to Re-Light an Existing Gymnasium with LED Lights?

We can redesign your gym’s lighting using LED by using your existing locations, or suggest new locations if the lighting is bad. We have helped our customers switch their gym lighting over to LED. We can create a lighting plan to show you how well your gym can look.

What Mounting Options are Available for LED Gym and Fitness Center Lighting?

Eye hooks, pendant mount, and chain/wire mount for our linear fixtures.

How Can You Reduce Glare from LED Gym Lighting?

We recommend using a frosted lens instead of a clear lens as this can help reduce glare when using LED gymnasium lights. A good option is linear high bay lights or UFO LED gym lighting fixtures with frosted lenses.

Is It Hard to Hang LED Lighting Fixtures in a Gymnasium?

There is no difference between our LED Lighting Fixtures and the lights you are replacing. We offer the same mounts, and there are only 3 wires per fixture to connect to the power source.
