How High Should You Mount LED Soccer Field Lights?
There is no one height we would recommend. But higher is better than lower. And closer to the field is better than far away. We have created lighting plans for many outdoor sport fields. And the pole heights have ranged between 30 feet and 75 feet.
Do Portable Lights Work Well for Soccer Fields?
They can. But they could be a source of glare if the source of light is not high enough. Understanding how these LED Soccer Field Lights work, how each light needs to be aimed, creates a level of set up that is different from a fixed light source on a pole. So while they can work, it’s not ideal as a long term solution.

How Can We Get Rid of the Shadows on Our Field?
The goal with good lighting design is to have enough lights so that every part of the field is ‘touched’ with light. It is better to use 2 smaller powered lights than 1 large more powerful light. The latter scenario will create a bright area, then shadows until the next light’s bright area.
