Product Lighting Layout Estimator
Use this estimator to calculate approximate fixture count, spacing, and average foot-candles for a simple rectangular space using the selected LED fixture. Enter your room dimensions, mounting height, target foot-candles, light loss factor, and room/layout condition to generate a preliminary lighting layout. When IES photometry is available, workplane height and room reflectance controls are shown.
Project Inputs
Estimated Results
Estimated average foot-candles are preliminary and should be verified with a lighting plan for project-critical applications.
Room / Layout Condition: This field is used only when usable IES photometry is not available. In fallback mode, it acts as a simplified room utilization factor for reflectance, fixture distribution, racking, obstructions, and how much fixture light reaches the work area. Open / light-colored spaces use 0.90, typical warehouses or shops use 0.75, racked or obstructed spaces use 0.60, and dark or complex spaces use 0.45. When IES photometry is active, this field is hidden and the estimator uses the selected workplane height, LLF, and simplified reflectance adjustment instead.
Photometry / Simulation Note: When usable IES photometry is available for the selected fixture, this estimator uses the fixture’s IES candela data, selected workplane height, light loss factor, and simplified reflectance adjustment to estimate fixture count, average foot-candles, and visual light distribution. The reflectance adjustment is a conservative approximation and is not a full zonal-cavity, radiosity, or professional photometric room calculation. When IES photometry is not available, the estimator uses a simulated beam model based on lumens, mounting height, room/layout condition, light loss factor, and beam angle.
Preliminary Estimate Only: This estimator is intended for simple square or rectangular spaces and should be used as a planning aid, not a final photometric lighting plan. Actual light levels may vary based on fixture optics, selected IES file, mounting conditions, workplane height, ceiling height, surface reflectance, obstructions, controls, voltage, installation conditions, and site-specific requirements. Project-critical applications should be verified with a formal lighting plan.
This estimate is a starting point. Warehouses, industrial facilities, hazardous locations, sports areas, schools, healthcare spaces, public areas, and code-sensitive projects may require a reviewed lighting layout before purchase or installation.
Product Overview
This adjustable UFO LED high bay provides 120W, 160W, or 200W output settings with selectable 4000K or 5000K color temperature. It is built for high-ceiling interior lighting where a compact round fixture and broad 120-degree distribution are required.
The fixture produces 19,800 to 33,000 lumens and can replace 250W or 400W metal halide fixtures. Its aluminum alloy housing, frosted polycarbonate lens, and IP65 rating support demanding indoor installation conditions.
Core Performance and Output
Output is selectable at 19,800 lumens, 26,400 lumens, or 33,000 lumens. Efficacy is 165 lumens per watt, with 80+ CRI and selectable 4000K or 5000K color temperature.
The standard 120-degree beam distribution provides broad downward coverage. Higher output settings can reduce fixture count, but the final layout must account for mounting height, target light levels, and uniformity.
The fixture operates on 100-277V, 50/60Hz power and includes 6kV surge protection. The 200W setting can be excessive where lower mounting heights or lower target light levels apply.
Adjustability and Control Options
Field-selectable wattage settings allow the fixture to operate at 120W, 160W, or 200W. Color temperature is selectable between 4000K and 5000K.
1-10V dimming is provided. An optional motion sensor is available.
The default motion sensor configuration uses 100% detection area, a 3-minute hold time, a 5-minute standby period, and 50% standby dimming level. A motion sensor remote control is required to change the default sensor settings.
Longevity and Reliability
The rated L70 life is 134,000 hours. This rating supports long operating periods where fixture access can affect maintenance planning.
The fixture operates from -22F to 122F. Its 6kV surge protection supports electrical reliability in installations subject to transient voltage events.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
The housing is aluminum alloy with an IP65 rating and IK08 impact rating. A frosted polycarbonate lens covers the optical assembly.
The fixture measures 11.8 inches wide by 6.6 inches high and weighs 5.1 pounds. Housing color is available in black or white.
A 4-foot power cord and 8-inch dimming cord are included. Available accessories include a dome and motion sensor.
Where This Product Fits Best
This UFO high bay is suited to high-ceiling interior applications requiring broad distribution, adjustable output, and selectable color temperature. The available output range supports facilities that need different light levels within the same fixture platform.
- warehouse lighting
- manufacturing facility lighting
- distribution center lighting
- aircraft hangar lighting
- indoor sports facility lighting
- commercial shop lighting
The IP65-rated housing supports locations where dust and moisture protection are required. The fixture is available with hook mounting, with pendant and surface mounting options.
Installation and Long-Term Use
Hook mounting is standard. Pendant and surface mounting are optional, allowing the fixture to match the installed ceiling or structure.
Confirm the selected wattage, color temperature, voltage, mounting method, and control requirements before installation. The fixture uses 100-277V input power and supports 1-10V dimming.
Long-term maintenance should account for fixture access, the 134,000-hour L70 rating, and the installed sensor configuration when a motion sensor is used.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
In warehouse lighting, manufacturing facility lighting, and distribution center lighting, fixtures are typically arranged in rows or grid patterns based on the building layout and required light levels. Mounting height affects the usable coverage and uniformity from the 120-degree beam distribution.
For aircraft hangar lighting, indoor sports facility lighting, and commercial shop lighting, the selected wattage should match the mounting height and lighting objective. Higher output can reduce fixture count, but layout planning must account for uniformity across the illuminated area.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
ETL certified. DLC Premium certified.
The fixture is IP65 rated and IK08 rated. Operating temperature is -22F to 122F.
A 5-year warranty is included.
