What are 480-Volt LED Flood Lights?
480 Volt LED Flood Lighting fixtures are fixtures that can be designed to work with voltages supplied at 480 Volts from the panel. However, the LED drivers associated with these lights operate in a range of voltages from 277 volts to 480 Volts. When turned on, the drivers detect the voltage of the line coming in and automatically adjust to the incoming voltage. The electrician does not need to set the voltage. A flood light operating at 480 volts would result in a significantly lower amp draw per fixture than one running at 120 Volts. This means the electrician could add more lights per circuit at 480 volts than at 120 volts. (same amp draw for 4 lights at 480 Volts as 1 light at 120 volts)
