Wet Location LED High Bay Lights for damp warehouses, covered loading areas, and agricultural buildings include compact UFO housings with IP65 or IP66 ratings. These fixtures are specifically designed for environments where moisture, dust, or occasional water contact is a concern, making them ideal for high-ceiling installations where standard dry-location lights may not suffice. The IP65 rating ensures protection against dust and water jets, while IP66 offers enhanced protection against more powerful water jets, providing reliable performance in challenging conditions.

When selecting these high bay lights, it's crucial to match the IP rating to the specific exposure levels expected in your facility, whether it's humidity, condensation, or direct water jets. Ensure that compatible wet-location connectors and mounting hardware are used to maintain the required protection. Additionally, verify the fixture's operating temperature range and material suitability for any corrosive environments. Always confirm safety certifications such as UL, ETL, or CSA, and check for DLC status if utility rebates are anticipated. Installation should be performed by a qualified professional to ensure compliance with all safety and performance standards.

Wet Location LED High Bay Lights

Wet location LED high bay lights are designed for commercial and industrial spaces where fixtures may be exposed to moisture, condensation, dust, or occasional water contact. Our current wet location high bays use compact UFO housings and are available with IP65 or IP66 ratings, depending on the model.

  • IP65: Dust-tight and protected against water jets.
  • IP66: Dust-tight and protected against more powerful water jets.

These fixtures are commonly used in damp warehouses, covered loading areas, maintenance facilities, agricultural buildings, unconditioned storage spaces, and other high-ceiling locations where standard dry-location fixtures may not be suitable.

What to Confirm Before Ordering

An IP rating describes resistance to dust and water entering the fixture enclosure. It does not confirm that the high bay is suitable for every corrosive, washdown, high-temperature, or hazardous environment.

  • Exposure level: Confirm whether the fixture will encounter humidity, condensation, dripping water, or direct water jets.
  • IP rating: Match the IP65 or IP66 rating to the actual installation conditions.
  • Mounting and wiring: Use compatible wet-location connectors, conduit entries, and mounting hardware so the completed installation maintains the required protection.
  • Temperature: Verify the fixture's listed operating-temperature range for hot, cold, or unconditioned spaces.
  • Corrosion exposure: Confirm material and coating suitability for coastal, chemical, fertilizer, or other corrosive environments.

Wet Location Does Not Mean NSF Rated

A wet location or IP-rated high bay should not be confused with an NSF-rated high bay. IP65 and IP66 ratings address protection against dust and water intrusion. NSF certification addresses additional sanitation, cleanability, material, and construction requirements for specific food-processing and food-handling environments.

Do not select a fixture for a food facility based on its IP rating alone. When NSF certification is required, confirm that the exact fixture model carries the appropriate NSF listing for the intended area.

Certifications and Warranty

Confirm that the selected UFO high bay carries a recognized safety certification such as UL, ETL, or CSA and verify DLC or DLC Premium status when utility rebates are expected. IP rating, voltage, dimming, controls, temperature limits, certifications, and warranty coverage vary by model. Most LED Lighting Supply high bays include a 5-year warranty unless otherwise specified.

Installation should be completed by a qualified electrical professional using wiring methods and components suitable for the location and in accordance with the fixture manufacturer's instructions.
