What are Class C Wood Pilings?
Class C wood pilings are ASTM-classified structural timber posts engineered for marine and foundation applications requiring moderate load-bearing capacity. Our Class C Southern Yellow Pine pilings come with standardized dimensions, including 6-inch minimum tip diameter and 12-inch minimum diameter at 3 feet from the butt end. These pressure-treated pilings receive 0.60 lbs per cubic foot CCA treatment for enhanced marine borer resistance and corrosion protection.
Class C pilings are ideal for residential docks, light commercial piers, and waterfront structures where structural requirements fall between Class B and Class D specifications. Available in 20-45 foot lengths, these USA-manufactured pilings meet strict ASTM standards while providing reliable performance in saltwater and freshwater environments.
