Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a forklift or appropriate similar machine (customer supplied). Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at the time of delivery.
Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days to your delivery location.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the piling), installation costs, or foundation design of piling. Dimensions and specifications of pilings are subject to change without notice but the tip and butt dimensions will always be within ASTM specifications. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. All poles are treated with CCA unless specified otherwise. Our standard treatment is .60 pounds per cubic foot.
Please be advised that our wood pilings are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the pilings are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
This 25 foot Class C piling is manufactured from Southern Yellow Pine and treated with .60 CCA preservative. It is designed for structural use in marine and waterfront environments where durability and resistance to decay are required. The piling meets ASTM D25 and AWPA standards for treated wood, supporting long-term performance in demanding conditions.
Typical installations include new dock construction, pier supports, and marine structure foundations. The 25 ft length and Class C rating are suited for medium-duty marine and architectural site lighting projects where ground mounting and reliable load-bearing capacity are needed.
Core Performance and Output
This piling provides structural support for marine and waterfront applications. The 25 ft length and Class C rating allow for use in medium-duty installations, including docks, piers, and boardwalks. The wood is pressure treated to .60 CCA, with optional higher treatments available for increased resistance in more aggressive environments.
Minimum top circumference is 19 inches with a 6 inch minimum top outside diameter, supporting typical mounting hardware and lighting attachments. At 3 feet from the butt, the minimum circumference is 38 inches and outside diameter is 12 inches, providing a stable base for ground installation. Weight ranges from 580 to 690 lbs per piling. Structural capacity is determined by wood class, treatment, and installation method. Excessive lateral loads or unsupported spans may require additional engineering review.
Adjustability and Control Options
This piling is a fixed structural element with no integrated adjustability or control features. Height, diameter, and treatment level are set at the time of manufacture. Lighting, signage, or hardware mounted to the piling must be specified and installed separately.
Optional CCA treatment levels (.80, 1.0, 1.5, 2.5) are available for projects requiring enhanced preservative protection. All adjustments to mounting hardware or accessories must be made in the field during installation.
Longevity and Reliability
The Southern Yellow Pine material is pressure treated to .60 CCA for resistance to decay, marine borers, and fungal attack. This treatment level is suitable for most marine and waterfront installations. Higher CCA treatments are available for harsher environments or extended service life requirements.
Manufacturing to ASTM D25 and AWPA standards ensures consistent quality and performance. Expected service life depends on site conditions, exposure, and maintenance. Periodic inspection is recommended to monitor for mechanical damage or surface wear.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
Pilings are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. Each piling is manufactured to meet or exceed ASTM D25 specifications for dimensional consistency and structural integrity. The wood is pressure treated with CCA to the specified retention level for long-term durability in wet and marine environments.
Physical characteristics include a 25 ft total length, 19 inch minimum top circumference, and 38 inch minimum circumference at 3 ft from the butt. Weight per piling is 580?690 lbs. The surface is suitable for direct ground mounting and for attachment of lighting or marine hardware using standard fasteners.
Where This Product Fits Best
This piling is intended for structural use in marine and waterfront construction where treated wood is required for durability and load-bearing support. It is commonly installed in:
- marine structures
- dock structures
- pier construction
- waterfront structures
- marina construction
- coastal facility construction
- boardwalk structures
- mooring structures
CCA treatment and Class C rating provide resistance to decay and marine organisms. The piling is suitable for both saltwater and freshwater environments, with optional higher CCA treatments for increased protection in aggressive or high-exposure sites.
Installation and Long-Term Use
Installation is typically performed using pile driving or auger methods, depending on soil and site conditions. The 25 ft length accommodates most medium-duty marine and waterfront projects. Proper alignment and embedment depth are critical for structural stability and load transfer.
Long-term use requires periodic inspection for signs of mechanical wear, impact damage, or surface degradation. Maintenance may include cleaning, hardware tightening, and replacement of damaged sections as needed. Higher CCA treatments can extend service life in harsh or high-salinity environments.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
Pilings of this size are commonly installed at 8 to 12 foot spacing, depending on structural requirements and load calculations. Mounting height is fixed at 25 feet, with embedment depth determined by soil conditions and engineering standards. Lighting, signage, or marine hardware is attached using through-bolts or lag screws rated for exterior use.
Closer spacing increases structural redundancy but may raise material and installation costs. Selection of CCA treatment level should be based on site exposure and anticipated service life.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This piling is manufactured to ASTM D25 and AWPA standards. CCA treatment is performed to meet or exceed current American Wood Preservers Association requirements. The product is intended for structural use in marine and waterfront environments where treated wood is specified.
Warranty is 1 year. All installations must comply with local codes and engineering requirements for structural safety and environmental protection.
