What are 20 to 25 foot Wood Pilings?

Wood pilings in the 20-25 foot range are structural foundation elements made from Southern Yellow Pine lumber, engineered to support marine structures, docks, and waterfront construction projects. These pressure-treated timber posts are classified under ASTM standards (Classes A, B, and C) based on their dimensional specifications.

Class A offers the largest diameters (9-14 inches) and circumferences (28-44 inches) for maximum load-bearing capacity.

Classes B and C provide progressively smaller dimensions for lighter-duty applications.

All pilings receive standard .60 pounds per cubic foot CCA (Chromated Copper Arsenate) treatment for marine-grade protection against rot, insects, and water damage, with optional higher treatment levels available up to 2.5 pounds per cubic foot for extreme exposure conditions.
