45 Watt LED retrofit kit replaces metal halide bulbs inside your existing indoor or outdoor fixture. The retrofit kit is designed to replace Metal Halide bulbs and ballasts inside a sealed fixture. Active Cooling keeps this retrofit kit working for a very long time. This retrofit works well with existing motion sensors and photocells. It is easy to install - like doing a Metal Halide bulb and ballast replacement. You should also remove the fixture reflector and socket, as they will not be needed.

Product Overview

This 45 watt LED retrofit lamp replaces 175 watt metal halide lamps in existing fixtures. It delivers 7425 lumens at 165 lumens per watt with a 5000K color temperature and CRI of 75+.

The lamp operates on 100V-277V input at 50/60 Hz with a power factor greater than 0.90 and THD under 15%. Dimming capability is available as an optional configuration.

Physical dimensions are 4.75 inches long by 4.75 inches wide by 1.9 inches high, with a weight of 4 pounds. The 120-degree beam angle provides broad light distribution from the standard optics.

Where This Product Fits Best

This retrofit is sized and rated for interior commercial and industrial spaces currently using 175 watt metal halide fixtures. The 100V-277V operating range covers standard commercial electrical systems without requiring voltage-specific versions.

The 120-degree beam angle suits general area lighting where broad coverage is needed rather than concentrated task lighting. The 5000K output produces a cool white appearance consistent with warehouse, manufacturing, and utility space lighting.

Performance and Functional Considerations

At 7425 lumens from 45 watts, this lamp reduces energy consumption compared to the 175 watt metal halide it replaces while maintaining usable output for general illumination. The 165 lumens per watt efficacy reflects current LED retrofit performance levels.

Rated lifespan is 50,000 hours for the driver and 100,000 hours to L70 for the LED source. L70 indicates the point at which output has declined to 70 percent of initial lumens. The 75+ CRI supports general visibility in spaces where color accuracy is not a primary requirement.

Installation and Long-Term Use

This retrofit installs into existing metal halide fixtures, allowing continued use of current housings rather than full fixture replacement. At 4 pounds and compact dimensions, handling during lamp change-out is manageable for standard maintenance access.

The 100V-277V input range accommodates most commercial building electrical systems. For installations where dimming is required, optional dimming capability is available and should be confirmed at time of selection.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

Facility operators use this retrofit to convert existing metal halide high bays and area lights to LED without replacing the entire fixture. The lamp drops into the existing socket and housing, so the change happens during a standard lamp replacement cycle.

Once installed, the 120-degree spread angle distributes light across a wide area from each fixture position. The 5000K color temperature produces a daylight-white appearance that most maintenance teams and operators find appropriate for industrial and warehouse environments.
