TAA-compliant LED panel lights are available for federal, military, government, institutional, and other projects that require products meeting applicable Trade Agreements Act procurement rules. TAA compliance allows qualifying products made or substantially transformed in the United States or a designated country to receive eligible treatment on covered government acquisitions.
TAA-compliant panels are commonly specified for federal purchasing contracts, government office renovations, military and administrative facilities, schools and institutional buildings using applicable federal procurement requirements, and other projects where the solicitation specifically requires TAA-eligible products.
What Does TAA Compliant Mean?
The Trade Agreements Act allows eligible products from the United States and designated countries to be considered for federal acquisitions covered by applicable trade agreements. A qualifying product is generally manufactured entirely in an approved country or substantially transformed there into a new and different commercial product.
Products manufactured or substantially transformed in a non-designated country may not qualify, even when the manufacturer, distributor, or seller is based in the United States. Compliance should be confirmed for the exact panel model and configuration being purchased.
How Is TAA Different from the Buy American Act?

The TAA does not simply replace the Buy American Act on every government purchase. When a covered trade agreement applies, the Buy American restrictions may be waived for eligible products from designated countries. When the trade agreements do not apply, the Buy American Act or another domestic-preference requirement may still control the purchase.
