Hi, I’m Neil Peterson. Today, I’m here to talk about retrofitting parking lot fixtures-commonly known as shoebox lights. These may also include flood lights used in parking lot applications. We offer two primary retrofit products:
  • A kit specifically designed for 16-inch and 23-inch shoebox fixtures
  • A universal retrofit kit that works with shoeboxes, area lights, flood lights, wall packs, and canopy lights
All retrofit kits come with a driver and a mounting bracket of some kind. The shoebox-specific models are available in:
  • 100W and 150W versions – ideal replacements for 400W metal halide fixtures and fit 16-inch shoeboxes
  • 240W and 300W versions – designed to replace 1000W metal halide fixtures and fit 23-inch shoeboxes
For our universal retrofit kits, we offer replacements for:
  • 150W metal halide
  • 250W metal halide
  • 400W metal halide
  • 1000W metal halide
These kits are versatile-they can be mounted either vertically or horizontally using the included universal bracket. The driver is included with every kit. Installation is simple, and once mounted, the light output is directed downward using the existing fixture’s optics. Retrofits are an excellent solution when you want to keep your existing fixture housing-whether for aesthetic, structural, or cost-saving reasons. If your current fixtures are still in good shape, retrofitting is a smart, efficient upgrade. Give us a call today, and we’ll help you determine whether a retrofit or a new fixture is the best choice for your parking lot lighting needs. Thank you!
