Airtho designs modular, pre-engineered structures for controlled environments. Building these types of facilities requires the proper lighting solution the first time. Airtho needed a supplier who could move fast and understand cleanroom-specific requirements.
Airtho’s President, Brandon Bogart, reached out to LED Lighting Supply in 2020 with a time-sensitive need for 10 LED panel lights. The lighting would be installed in a cleanroom drop ceiling system for a job that ships out the following week. Our Product Specialist, Jeff Cesenaro, was quick to respond and provided his consultative expertise, walking Brandon through kelvin temperature and lumen output options.
He recommended 2x4 edge-lit panel lights with an emergency battery backup option, all in time to meet the deadline. Jeff showed their team that we can plan, quote, revise, and deliver controlled environment lighting solutions across multiple projects promptly. That first exchange led to LED Lighting Supply becoming the preferred lighting supplier for Airtho.
The Challenge of Airtho’s Controlled Environment Lighting:
Cleanroom and controlled environment projects require specialized lighting fixtures and expert guidance. Airtho's work called for lighting layout direction, target illumination planning, and communication they could count on at every stage.
Airtho needed a partner that offers:
- Expert advice tailored to the strict cleanliness and performance demands of controlled environments
- Consistent light output and quality across every fixture, critical for maintaining uniform conditions in controlled spaces
- Custom-tailored layout plans matched to each facility's individual dimensions and classification requirements, rather than a generic approach
LED Lighting Supply gave Airtho the support they needed to meet these requirements.

Our Strategy & Solution For Airtho’s Projects:
Jeff works closely with the Airtho team on every project to understand the specific requirements involved. The recommended foot-candle (fc) value for controlled environments ranges from 50 to 100 fc, depending on the type of precision work being performed in the space. That range serves as the starting reference point for each custom lighting solution. Cleanroom facilities involve contamination classifications, sealing requirements, and washdown or sanitation protocols. LED Lighting Supply's Product Specialists evaluate each cleanroom's classification and operational requirements before recommending a fixture. This ensures the fixture's edge-lit or back-lit feature, sealing, and mounting method align with the facility's specific performance needs.
Jeff frequently suggests 2 x 4 LED flat panel fixtures for Airtho’s layouts. In low-ceiling cleanrooms, these lights are installed on the ceiling grid, preventing contaminants from accumulating.
*Final fixture selection and compliance should be verified with your facility's engineering team or cleanroom certification standards.
The Results:
The relationship grew from that first order into a multi-year partnership. Airtho now uses LED Lighting Supply’s lighting plans across its new projects, reflecting a relationship built on trust and responsiveness. Over six years, Airtho has purchased more than 1,200 fixtures from LED Lighting Supply across 32 facilities, with several additional in-progress projects.
With this process in place, LED Lighting Supply has supported Airtho in mitigating inconsistent light levels and the need to establish a new lighting supplier for each project location. LED Lighting Supply has supported the lighting for several Airtho projects built for companies, including Factorial Batteries, Nano One Materials, Alabama Mobility and Power (AMP) Battery Research Center, Techni-Glass, Electrovaya and more, each with its own illumination requirements.

This is the result of Airtho engaging LED Lighting Supply, project after project, confident that each layout will be handled with the same level of expertise. Our team's responsiveness was put to the test early on when a shipping issue damaged a fixture in transit. We worked directly with Airtho to resolve it and adjust the packaging approach going forward. That kind of follow-through is a big part of why the partnership has continued to grow.
In 2025, that momentum carried into a specialized academic battery dry room project in the John Olson Advanced Manufacturing Center at the University of New Hampshire. LED Lighting Supply donated the lighting materials for the project, and Airtho formally recognized the contribution by inviting the team to the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The overall results are scalable lighting solutions that deliver optimal performance, ongoing expert guidance, and a consistent, controlled environment experience across every new project. From a single order to nearly three dozen completed facilities and counting, the Airtho partnership shows what happens when a supplier treats every project with the same level of support. As Airtho continues to grow, LED Lighting Supply remains ready to support that growth one project at a time.
