Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a forklift or appropriate similar machine (customer supplied). Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at the time of delivery.
Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days to your delivery location.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the piling), installation costs, or foundation design of piling. Dimensions and specifications of pilings are subject to change without notice but the tip and butt dimensions will always be within ASTM specifications. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. All poles are treated with CCA unless specified otherwise. Our standard treatment is .60 pounds per cubic foot.
Please be advised that our wood pilings are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the pilings are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
This 45 Foot Class A CCA Treated Southern Yellow Pine Piling is designed for structural use in marine and waterfront environments. It is manufactured to ASTM D25 standards and treated to AWPA requirements for long-term resistance to decay and marine organisms. Typical installations include new dock construction, pier foundations, and large-scale marine or coastal facility projects where structural integrity and durability are required at extended heights.
The piling is supplied as a solid wood member, debarked and pressure treated with .60 CCA preservative as standard. Optional higher treatment levels are available for more aggressive environments. The 45-foot length and Class A rating support heavy-duty marine and waterfront applications where deep embedment and high load capacity are needed.
Core Performance and Output
This piling provides structural support for marine and waterfront construction at heights up to 45 feet. The Class A rating ensures minimum top and butt diameters for high load-bearing capacity. The piling supports significant vertical and lateral loads, suitable for piers, docks, and large marina structures.
With a minimum top circumference of 28 inches and a minimum butt circumference of 44 inches, the piling is engineered for demanding applications. The .60 CCA treatment protects against rot, decay, and marine borer attack. For sites with severe exposure, higher CCA treatments are available. Excessive lateral loading or unsupported spans may require additional engineering review.
Adjustability and Control Options
This piling is supplied as a fixed-dimension, solid wood structural member. No field adjustability is provided for length, diameter, or taper. Treatment level can be specified at time of order to match site conditions, with options up to 2.5 CCA for maximum preservative retention.
Field cutting or drilling is possible but will require re-treatment of exposed surfaces to maintain preservative protection. No integrated control or adjustment features are present.
Longevity and Reliability
The Southern Yellow Pine substrate, combined with .60 CCA pressure treatment, provides long-term resistance to decay, insect attack, and marine organisms. The piling is manufactured to ASTM D25 and AWPA standards for consistent quality and performance in harsh environments.
Service life is dependent on site conditions, exposure, and maintenance. Higher CCA treatment levels are available for increased longevity in aggressive marine or brackish water settings. Periodic inspection is recommended to monitor for mechanical damage or surface wear.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
This piling is constructed from solid Southern Yellow Pine, grown and processed in the United States. Each unit is debarked, shaped, and pressure treated to meet Class A dimensional requirements. Typical weight ranges from 1990 to 2330 lbs per piling, depending on moisture content and treatment level.
Minimum top outside diameter is 9 inches, with a minimum of 14 inches at 3 feet from the butt. The piling is intended for surface or embedded mounting in soil, sand, or underwater substrates. All units are supplied with a 1-year warranty covering material and manufacturing defects.
Where This Product Fits Best
This piling is intended for structural use in marine, waterfront, and coastal construction where high load capacity and long-term durability are required. Typical environments include:
- marine structures
- dock structures
- pier construction
- waterfront structures
- marina construction
- coastal facility construction
- boardwalk structures
- mooring structures
The .60 CCA treatment and Class A rating make this piling suitable for saltwater, brackish, and freshwater installations. It is commonly used where deep embedment and high vertical or lateral loads are required. Not intended for use in environments where untreated wood or non-CCA treatments are mandated.
Installation and Long-Term Use
Installation is typically performed using pile driving or vibratory methods, with embedment depth determined by soil conditions and structural requirements. The 45-foot length allows for deep foundation work in marine and waterfront settings. Surface mounting is possible for boardwalks or above-grade structures.
Long-term performance depends on correct installation, proper embedment, and periodic inspection. Field modifications should be minimized to preserve the integrity of the CCA treatment. For installations in highly corrosive or high-load environments, consult engineering guidelines for spacing, bracing, and pile grouping.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
Commonly installed at heights up to 45 feet, this piling is used as a primary structural element in docks, piers, marinas, and waterfront facilities. Spacing and grouping are determined by load requirements, soil conditions, and the type of superstructure supported. Typical layouts involve rows or clusters of pilings driven to refusal or specified embedment depth.
Higher treatment levels may be selected for installations in saltwater or areas with aggressive marine borers. Increasing pile diameter or grouping can address higher load demands but may require additional installation equipment and coordination.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This piling is manufactured to ASTM D25 standards and treated to AWPA specifications. The .60 CCA treatment provides protection against decay and marine organisms. Optional higher CCA treatments are available for increased resistance in severe environments.
Each piling is covered by a 1-year warranty against material and manufacturing defects. Proper handling and installation are required to maintain warranty coverage. Certification documentation is available upon request.
