Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a forklift or appropriate similar machine (customer supplied). Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at the time of delivery.
Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days to your delivery location.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the piling), installation costs, or foundation design of piling. Dimensions and specifications of pilings are subject to change without notice but the tip and butt dimensions will always be within ASTM specifications. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. All poles are treated with CCA unless specified otherwise. Our standard treatment is .60 pounds per cubic foot.
Please be advised that our wood pilings are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the pilings are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
This 35 foot Class B piling is manufactured from Southern Yellow Pine, debarked and pressure treated with .60 CCA preservative. Designed for structural use in marine and waterfront environments, it meets ASTM D25 and AWPA standards for dimensional and treatment consistency. Typical installations include dock, pier, and marina construction where long-term durability and resistance to decay are required.
With a minimum top outside diameter of 8 inches and a weight range of 1100 to 1360 lbs, this piling is suitable for medium- to large-scale marine structures. The 35 ft length supports elevated platforms and extended overwater spans in both commercial and municipal projects.
Core Performance and Output
This piling provides structural support for marine and waterfront construction. Class B rating and .60 CCA treatment deliver resistance to rot, marine borers, and fungal decay. The piling?s dimensions?minimum 8 inch top OD and 12 inch OD three feet from the butt?support substantial vertical and lateral loads typical in dock and pier applications.
Material performance is consistent with Southern Yellow Pine, offering high strength-to-weight ratio and flexibility under load. EPA and wind load capacity depend on installation depth, soil conditions, and exposed height. Excessive unsupported height or improper embedment can reduce structural stability in high wind or wave environments.
Adjustability and Control Options
This piling is supplied as a solid, debarked timber with no integrated adjustability or mechanical control features. Length and treatment level are fixed at manufacture. Optional higher CCA treatments are available for increased preservative retention in severe environments.
Field trimming is possible but reduces overall length and may require re-sealing of cut ends to maintain preservative protection. No pre-drilled holes or mounting hardware are included; all attachment points must be field-drilled to suit project requirements.
Longevity and Reliability
.60 CCA treatment provides long-term resistance to decay, insects, and marine organisms in saltwater and brackish environments. Service life is influenced by installation conditions, exposure, and maintenance of cut or drilled surfaces. Southern Yellow Pine is selected for its durability and structural performance in marine settings.
Reliability is supported by compliance with ASTM D25 and AWPA standards. Periodic inspection and maintenance of exposed surfaces and hardware connections are recommended to maximize service life. Higher CCA treatment options are available for more aggressive environments or extended design life.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
Each piling is debarked, shaped, and pressure treated in the United States. Minimum top circumference is 25 inches, with a minimum 37 inch circumference three feet from the butt. Weight varies from 1100 to 1360 lbs depending on taper and moisture content at shipment.
Surface finish is rough, suitable for direct embedment in soil or water. No hardware, coatings, or surface treatments beyond CCA preservative are included. The piling is intended for structural use and is not planed or finished for architectural appearance.
Where This Product Fits Best
This piling is intended for structural support in marine and waterfront construction. It is commonly used in environments requiring resistance to water exposure, decay, and marine organisms. Typical installations include:
- marine structures
- dock structures
- pier construction
- waterfront structures
- marina construction
- coastal facility construction
- boardwalk structures
- mooring structures
Suitable for saltwater, brackish, and freshwater environments. Not intended for dry land structural use or applications requiring architectural finish. Performance is dependent on proper embedment and site-specific engineering.
Installation and Long-Term Use
Installation requires heavy equipment for handling and driving due to the 35 ft length and weight. Typical embedment depths range from 8 to 12 feet depending on soil conditions and structural requirements. All field cuts or drilled holes should be treated with a compatible preservative to maintain decay resistance.
Long-term use depends on regular inspection for mechanical damage, hardware corrosion, and preservative integrity at exposed or cut surfaces. Replacement or reinforcement may be required in high-impact or high-movement locations. Piling spacing and layout are determined by structural load and site conditions.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
Commonly installed vertically as primary support for docks, piers, and marina walkways. Mounting height above water varies by design, but the 35 ft length allows for deep embedment and elevated platforms. Spacing is typically 8 to 12 feet on center, adjusted for load and wave exposure.
Tradeoff: Closer spacing increases structural redundancy but raises material and installation costs. Excessive unsupported height above grade or waterline can reduce lateral stability in exposed locations.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This piling is manufactured to ASTM D25 standards and treated to AWPA requirements. .60 CCA preservative treatment is standard; higher retention levels are available. Minimum dimensions and treatment are verified at shipment.
One-year warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. No electrical or lighting certifications apply. All installations must comply with local codes and engineering requirements for marine structures.
