Product Description

Rebate Eligible - Qualifies for Energy Incentive Programs

500 Watt Full Spectrum LED - 380-780nm - grow light exhibits both high PAR efficacy at 2.50 umol/j and PPF at 1250 umol/s. BTU output is only 1534 BTU/hrs. This fixture comes with an eye hook.

Producing a total PPF output of 1250 umol/s and a Photon Efficacy (fixture efficiency) of 2.50 umol/J, our 500W Commercial LED grow light creates a highly efficient light spread at a close distance from the crop canopy.

When compared to regular similar wattage 1000 Watt High-Pressure Sodium grow lights, our grow light can reduce HVAC loads by 50%+ and increase crop yields of up to 35 to 60%.

This grow light is designed with both vegetative and flowering growth periods in mind. There is no need to switch plants between rooms. It is designed so it can dim, allowing you to adjust PPFD levels produced without losing efficiency.

This LED Grow Light is designed to be mounted horizontally over the canopy of plants. The ideal bed size is 4X4 or 5X5.

Optional Controller sold separately - MLLG-WD-GR1-CONTROLLER - Grow Light Controller, Bluetooth compatible, can be used as a timer to automatically turn on/off lights. Can control up to 100 lights between 2 zones.

What plants do well with a PPF of 1259 umol/s?

Cannabis (marijuana): Cannabis plants generally require high light levels, especially during the flowering stage. A PPF of 1250 umol/s can provide the intensity needed for robust growth and optimal flower production.
Vegetables and Fruits: Many fruiting and flowering plants, like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and strawberries, benefit from high PPF levels. These plants need ample light to produce fruits.
Herbs: Some herbs, such as basil, thyme, and oregano, require a lot of light to grow well and develop their full flavor.
Orchids and Tropical Plants: Many orchid species thrive under high light levels, especially those adapted to bright, filtered light conditions. 1250 umol/s PPF can support their growth and flowering.
Succulents and Cacti: Desert-adapted plants like succulents and cacti can tolerate and benefit from high light intensities. 1250 umol/s PPF can help these plants maintain their compact forms and vibrant colors.

For grow lights, how good is a PAR efficiency of 2.50 umol/J?

A PAR efficiency of 2.50 umol/J indicates that for every joule of electrical energy consumed by the grow light, it emits approximately 2.50 micromoles of photons within the photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) range (380-780 nm).

A PAR efficiency of 2.50 umol/J is considered excellent and represents a relatively efficient grow light. It signifies that the grow light is converting a significant portion of the electrical energy it consumes into usable photons for photosynthesis.

Product Overview

This 500 Watt UFO LED Grow Light delivers a full spectrum output from 380 to 780nm. The fixture produces a total PPF of 1250 umol/s and a PAR efficacy of 2.50 umol/J. It is designed for commercial grow environments requiring high efficiency and uniform light distribution.

Heat output is measured at 1534 BTU/hr. The fixture is supplied with an eye hook for suspension mounting. Dimming capability is built in, allowing adjustment of output levels as needed.

The fixture is intended for horizontal mounting above plant canopies. It supports both vegetative and flowering growth cycles without the need to move plants between rooms.

Optional Bluetooth-compatible controller is available for timer and multi-zone control functions. The controller can manage up to 100 lights across two zones.

Where This Product Fits Best

This fixture is suited for commercial grow operations requiring consistent, high-output lighting over 4x4 or 5x5 foot beds. It is designed for use in indoor cultivation spaces where both vegetative and flowering cycles are managed in the same area.

Facilities seeking to reduce HVAC loads compared to legacy 1000 Watt High-Pressure Sodium systems may find this fixture aligns with operational goals. The fixture is appropriate for environments where close canopy mounting and uniform light spread are required.

It is compatible with electrical systems operating at 100-277V. The fixture is intended for use in controlled indoor environments where full spectrum output is needed for plant growth.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The fixture delivers a PPF of 1250 umol/s and a PAR efficacy of 2.50 umol/J, supporting high-density crop production. Full spectrum output from 380 to 780nm covers both vegetative and flowering growth stages.

Dimming functionality allows for adjustment of PPFD levels without loss of efficiency. This supports flexible light management throughout different growth phases.

Heat output is limited to 1534 BTU/hr, reducing the impact on facility HVAC systems compared to higher wattage legacy fixtures. The fixture is designed for horizontal mounting above the crop canopy to ensure even light distribution.

The optional controller enables Bluetooth connectivity and timer functions for automated operation and multi-zone management. The controller is not included and must be sourced separately if required.

Installation and Long-Term Use

The fixture is supplied with an eye hook for suspension mounting. It is designed for horizontal installation directly above plant beds.

Compatible with 100-277V electrical systems, the fixture can be integrated into standard commercial grow facility infrastructure. Dimming controls are accessible for on-site adjustment of output levels.

The fixture is intended for long-term use in indoor environments. Full spectrum output supports all plant growth stages without the need to relocate crops between rooms.

Routine operation involves adjusting output as needed for crop requirements. The optional controller can be added for automated scheduling and group control if desired.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

After installation, you can adjust the fixture?s output using the built-in dimming function to match the needs of your crop at different growth stages. This allows you to manage light intensity without sacrificing efficiency.

The fixture is typically suspended horizontally above the plant canopy using the supplied eye hook. Day-to-day, you can rely on the fixture to provide consistent full spectrum light for both vegetative and flowering periods without moving plants between rooms.

If you choose to use the optional controller, you can automate on/off scheduling and manage multiple fixtures across two zones. This can streamline daily operation in larger grow environments.

Heat output is lower than legacy high-pressure sodium systems, which can reduce the load on your facility?s HVAC system during continuous operation.
