Product Overview

This 300 Watt LED shoebox area light delivers 40,200 lumens at 134 lumens per watt. It is designed to replace 1000 Watt metal halide fixtures in outdoor area lighting applications.

The fixture uses a die-cast aluminum housing with a black finish. It is equipped with a dimmable driver compatible with 100V to 277V input. The standard optic is Type 3, and the color temperature is 5000K.

Mounting options include arm, slip fitter, or trunnion brackets for pole, post, or wall installation. An optional photocell is available.

This fixture is IP66 rated for wet locations and operates in ambient temperatures from -40°F to +122°F.

Where This Product Fits Best

This fixture is suited for outdoor parking lots, drive lanes, and perimeter areas where wide, lateral light distribution is needed. The Type 3 optic is designed for roadway and parking area coverage.

It is appropriate for sites upgrading from 1000 Watt metal halide systems, especially where energy reduction and maintenance intervals are priorities.

Use in environments exposed to rain, snow, and dust is supported by the IP66 rating. The fixture can be mounted on poles, posts, or building walls using the specified brackets.

Applications include commercial parking lots, distribution centers, and facility perimeters requiring consistent, high-output area lighting.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The fixture outputs 40,200 lumens at 5000K, providing daylight-white illumination. The dimmable driver supports 100V to 277V input, allowing use on a range of electrical systems.

Type 3 optics direct light outward and to the sides, reducing wasted light behind the pole and focusing coverage across parking areas or roadways.

The die-cast aluminum housing resists corrosion and impact in outdoor environments. The fixture is designed for continuous operation in temperatures from -40°F to +122°F.

Optional photocell integration is available for dusk-to-dawn operation. The fixture is compatible with arm, slip fitter, or trunnion mounting for flexible installation.

Installation and Long-Term Use

The fixture can be mounted to poles, posts, or walls using arm, slip fitter, or trunnion brackets. This allows adaptation to existing site hardware or new installations.

IP66 wet location rating allows installation in exposed outdoor environments without additional weather protection. The housing is designed to prevent water and dust ingress.

The dimmable driver supports a wide voltage range, simplifying electrical connection on most commercial and industrial circuits.

Routine maintenance is minimized by the sealed housing and solid-state LED design. The fixture is built for long-term outdoor use in demanding climates.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

Once installed, this fixture provides consistent, high-output lighting for parking lots and outdoor areas. The Type 3 optic spreads light laterally, reducing dark spots and improving visibility across drive lanes and parking spaces.

The 5000K color temperature produces a neutral white light that supports visual clarity and security. The fixture can be dimmed if connected to compatible controls, allowing adjustment of light levels as needed.

With the IP66 rating, you can rely on the fixture to operate through rain, snow, and dust without additional protection. The die-cast aluminum housing stands up to impacts and weather exposure.

If a photocell is used, the fixture will automatically turn on and off based on ambient light, reducing manual intervention for daily operation.
