Product Overview

This 8-foot fiberglass crossarm is designed for use with poles ranging from 5 to 9 inches in diameter. The crossarm measures 5 inches by 5 inches in cross-section and weighs 33 pounds. It is constructed from high-strength fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) and finished with a 25-year UV protective coating.

Each crossarm includes galvanized connection hardware, end caps, and mounting brackets. Color options include bronze, black, white, grey, and custom finishes. The crossarm is non-conductive, does not rot, rust, or corrode, and is fire resistant.

The included hardware consists of one crossarm bracket, two 12-inch by 3/4-inch threaded rods for attaching the bracket to the pole, two 6 3/8-inch by 3/4-inch bolts for attaching the crossarm to the bracket, and two end caps.

This crossarm is designed to attach to fiberglass or wood poles and is suitable for environments where durability and long-term reliability are required.

Where This Product Fits Best

This fiberglass crossarm is suitable for commercial and industrial sites where non-conductive, corrosion-resistant, and lightweight mounting solutions are required. It is commonly used in outdoor environments where exposure to weather, UV, and potential fire hazards are considerations.

The crossarm is compatible with pole diameters from 5 to 9 inches, making it suitable for a range of pole-mounted applications. It can be installed on both fiberglass and wood poles.

Color selection allows for visual integration with existing site aesthetics or compliance with facility standards. The crossarm is often used where steel alternatives may be prone to corrosion or require additional maintenance.

Applications include lighting, electrical distribution, and mounting of equipment where a strong, non-conductive support is needed.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The fiberglass construction provides high strength in both compression and tension, supporting use in high wind conditions. The crossarm is designed to flex under load and return to its original form, reducing the risk of breakage during severe weather.

The non-conductive material eliminates electrical conductivity concerns, supporting use in environments where electrical isolation is required. The crossarm does not sustain a flame and does not provide a fuel source for fire.

The 25-year UV protective coating prevents material breakdown from sun exposure. The crossarm does not rot, rust, or corrode, supporting long-term use in outdoor and harsh environments.

The included hardware is galvanized for corrosion resistance and is sized for secure attachment to compatible poles.

Installation and Long-Term Use

The crossarm is lightweight at 33 pounds, making it easier to handle, unload, and install compared to steel alternatives. All necessary mounting hardware is included for attachment to poles within the specified diameter range.

End caps are provided to protect the ends of the crossarm from moisture and debris ingress. The crossarm is designed for straightforward installation on both fiberglass and wood poles.

Once installed, the crossarm requires minimal maintenance due to its resistance to rot, rust, and corrosion. The UV protective coating extends the service life by preventing degradation from sunlight.

The fire-resistant and non-conductive properties support safe long-term operation in a variety of environments, including those with electrical equipment or exposure to fire risk.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

After installation, the crossarm provides a stable, non-conductive mounting point for lighting fixtures, electrical equipment, or other pole-mounted devices. The fiberglass material ensures that the crossarm will not conduct electricity, which is important for safety in areas with overhead lines or electrical equipment.

The crossarm’s strength and flexibility allow it to handle wind loads and pole movement without permanent deformation. If the pole flexes due to wind or other forces, the crossarm is designed to bend and return to its original shape.

The UV protective coating and corrosion resistance mean you do not need to schedule regular painting or rust prevention. The end caps keep the interior of the crossarm clean and dry, reducing the risk of internal damage over time.

Color options allow you to match the crossarm to existing site equipment or facility standards. Once installed, the crossarm remains visually consistent and structurally reliable with minimal ongoing attention.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

The crossarm is non-conductive and fire resistant, supporting safe use in environments with electrical equipment or fire risk. The fiberglass construction does not rot, rust, or corrode, reducing safety risks associated with material degradation.

All connection hardware is galvanized for corrosion resistance. End caps are included to protect the crossarm ends from environmental exposure.

LED Lighting Supply provides a 7-year warranty on this crossarm.

Color options include bronze, black, white, grey, and custom finishes to support site-specific safety or visibility requirements.
