Our 65 foot Class 3 CCA Treated Southern Yellow Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are treated with preservatives to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to ensure rot and decay prevention. The long term durability of a wood utility pole is one of its main benefits

Cross arms are available for our Southern Yellow Pine poles as an optional accessory. Configuration and sizing are determined based on project requirements, as well as the height and class of the selected pole. We offer both 8-foot and 10-foot cross arms, our product specialists can help confirm the appropriate size for your application.

Delivery is made with a standard flatbed truck depending on pole lengths and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload - customer supplied. Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at time of delivery. Installation should be done by a trained professional.

Pricing: Does not include price of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.

Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including Douglas fir and red pine. CCA treatment generally will result in the poles being free of insects for decades to come.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview

This is a 65 foot Class 3 Southern Yellow Pine wood utility pole, CCA treated for long-term durability. The pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification and is designed for direct burial installation.

The pole provides 56.5 feet of height above grade, with 8.5 feet intended for burial below ground. Minimum pole top circumference is 23 inches, and minimum circumference 6 feet from the butt is 43.5 inches. The pole weighs between 2700 and 3200 pounds.

CCA treatment is applied to the wood to help prevent rot and decay. The pole is produced from Southern Yellow Pine, a species commonly used for utility applications due to its strength and preservative retention.

Cross arms are available as an accessory and can be configured based on project requirements and pole specifications.

Where This Product Fits Best

This pole is suited for electrical utility and telecommunications infrastructure where a 65 foot height is required. It is commonly used for power distribution, transmission lines, and supporting overhead communication cables.

The Class 3 rating and Southern Yellow Pine construction make it appropriate for installations where both strength and durability are needed. The CCA treatment allows for use in environments where wood decay or insect exposure is a concern.

Direct burial installation is standard for this pole, making it compatible with typical utility construction methods. The pole's dimensions and weight should be considered when planning for transport, handling, and installation equipment.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The 65 foot total length provides 56.5 feet of usable height above grade after installation. The 8.5 foot burial depth supports stability and load requirements for utility applications.

Class 3 ANSI rating defines the pole's strength and load-bearing capacity. Minimum top and butt circumferences ensure compliance with structural requirements for overhead line support.

CCA treatment extends the service life of the pole by protecting against rot and decay. Southern Yellow Pine is selected for its mechanical properties and compatibility with preservative treatments.

Cross arm compatibility allows for additional configuration based on the number and type of lines to be supported.

Installation and Long-Term Use

This pole is designed for direct burial installation. The specified 8.5 foot burial depth should be maintained to achieve the intended above-grade height and structural stability.

The weight range of 2700 to 3200 pounds requires appropriate lifting and handling equipment during installation. Site access and soil conditions should be evaluated before installation.

CCA treatment supports long-term use by reducing the risk of wood deterioration in service. Routine inspection and maintenance are recommended to monitor for mechanical damage or environmental impact over time.

Cross arms, if used, should be selected and installed according to the pole's height and class to maintain system integrity.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

Once installed, this pole provides a stable vertical structure for mounting electrical conductors, transformers, or communication lines. The 56.5 feet of height above grade allows for adequate ground clearance and line separation.

Operators can attach cross arms, insulators, and hardware as required for the specific utility or telecom application. The pole's diameter and circumference at key points support standard mounting hardware and accessories.

CCA treatment means the pole can be relied on for extended outdoor service with reduced risk of rot or insect damage. Routine visual inspections are typically performed to check for physical damage or signs of decay.

Direct burial installation means there are no base plates or anchor bolts to maintain. The pole remains fixed in place unless removal or replacement is required for system upgrades or repairs.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification and is classified as Class 3.

CCA treatment is applied to meet American Wood Preservers Association standards for rot and decay prevention.

LED Lighting Supply provides a 1 year warranty on this pole.
