Our 60 foot Class 3 CCA Treated Southern Yellow Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are treated with preservatives to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to ensure rot and decay prevention. The long term durability of a wood utility pole is one of its main benefits
Cross arms are available for our Southern Yellow Pine poles as an optional accessory. Configuration and sizing are determined based on project requirements, as well as the height and class of the selected pole. We offer both 8-foot and 10-foot cross arms, our product specialists can help confirm the appropriate size for your application.
Delivery is made with a standard flatbed truck depending on pole lengths and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload – customer supplied. Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at time of delivery. Installation should be done by a trained professional.
Pricing: Does not include price of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including Douglas fir and red pine. CCA treatment generally will result in the poles being free of insects for decades to come.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
This is a 60-foot Class 3 Southern Yellow Pine wood utility pole, CCA treated for long-term durability. The pole is designed for direct burial installation, with 52 feet above grade and 8 feet below grade.
It is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification and uses CCA treatment to resist rot and decay. The pole weight ranges from 2370 to 2800 pounds, with a minimum top circumference of 23 inches and a minimum circumference of 42 inches measured 6 feet from the butt.
The minimum pole top outside diameter is 7.3 inches, and the outside diameter 6 feet from the butt is 13.4 inches. This pole is intended for commercial-grade utility infrastructure applications where a high-strength, treated wood pole is required.
Cross arms are available as an accessory and can be configured based on project requirements and pole specifications.
Where This Product Fits Best
This 60-foot Class 3 wood pole is suited for utility infrastructure where a tall, high-capacity pole is needed. Typical applications include supporting overhead electrical lines, lighting, or communications equipment in commercial, industrial, or municipal settings.
The CCA treatment and Southern Yellow Pine construction make it appropriate for outdoor environments where resistance to rot and decay is required. Direct burial installation is standard for this pole type.
Use cases include main utility corridors, large site perimeters, and areas requiring elevated mounting heights for equipment or lines. The pole supports up to 240 pounds per cross arm, making it suitable for multiple attachments.
Performance and Functional Considerations
The pole is rated for a minimum capacity of 2370 to 2800 pounds, supporting substantial loads in utility applications. The ANSI Class 3 rating defines its strength and dimensional requirements for consistent performance.
CCA treatment extends the service life by protecting against rot and decay. The Southern Yellow Pine material provides a balance of strength and workability for field modifications or hardware installation.
Direct burial installation requires an 8-foot embedment below grade, resulting in 52 feet of usable height above ground. The pole's dimensions and weight should be considered for handling and installation planning.
Installation and Long-Term Use
This pole is designed for direct burial, with 8 feet below grade to ensure stability and load transfer. Proper site preparation and burial depth are required for safe installation.
The CCA treatment allows for long-term outdoor use with reduced risk of rot or insect damage. Southern Yellow Pine is commonly used for utility poles due to its structural properties and treatment compatibility.
Cross arms can be added as needed, with sizing determined by the pole height and class. Routine inspection and maintenance are recommended to monitor for physical damage or environmental wear over time.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
After installation, this 60-foot wood pole provides a stable mounting point for overhead lines, area lighting, or communication equipment. The 52-foot above-grade height allows for clearances required in utility corridors or large sites.
Operators typically attach cross arms, insulators, or brackets as needed for their specific application. The pole's treated surface resists decay, reducing the need for frequent replacement or repair in most environments.
In day-to-day use, the pole supports static and dynamic loads from attached equipment and environmental factors such as wind or ice. The pole's dimensions and strength class allow for multiple attachments within the specified load limits.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification and is classified as Class 3.
The wood is CCA treated for rot and decay resistance.
LED Lighting Supply provides a 1-year warranty on this pole.
