Our CCA Treated 45 Foot Wood Pole Class 4 Treated Ponderosa Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent damage from termites, decay and rot regardless of the species used.

Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload – customer supplied. Customers are responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment or area to store poles available at the time of delivery. Please contact a sales representative prior to purchasing to ensure all the project details are clear.

Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.

Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview

This 45 foot wood light and utility pole is a Class 4 Ponderosa Pine pole for direct burial installation. It provides 38.5 feet of height above grade with 6.5 feet below grade.

The pole is CCA treated and manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. It is built for sports field lighting and other wood pole applications requiring a tall direct-buried support structure.

Core Performance and Output

This pole has a total length of 45 feet and an installed height of 38.5 feet above grade. Pole weight ranges from 800 to 970 pounds.

The minimum top circumference is 21 inches, with a minimum top outside diameter of 6.7 inches. At 6 feet from the butt, the minimum circumference is 38.5 inches and the outside diameter is 12.2 inches.

Direct burial depth is fixed at 6.5 feet based on the supplied configuration. Fixture loading, wind exposure, soil conditions, and final structural requirements must be confirmed for the specific installation.

Adjustability and Control Options

This is a fixed-length wood pole with no height adjustment after installation. The 38.5 foot above-grade height is established by the specified direct burial depth.

The supplied product data does not identify integrated controls, electrical equipment, or fixture mounting hardware. Lighting controls and fixture components are determined separately from the pole.

Longevity and Reliability

The Ponderosa Pine pole is pressure treated with CCA preservative treatment. The treatment is intended to prevent damage from termites, decay, and rot.

The pole is grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. Long-term condition depends on installation quality, site exposure, and periodic inspection of the wood and attached equipment.

Build Quality and Physical Characteristics

This Class 4 pole uses Ponderosa Pine construction and CCA treatment. It is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification.

The tapered wood profile measures at least 12.2 inches outside diameter at 6 feet from the butt and at least 6.7 inches at the top. Pole weight should be accounted for during unloading, handling, and placement.

Where This Product Fits Best

This pole fits direct-burial projects that require wood support structures for outdoor sports field lighting, utility distribution, and rural property lighting.

  • sports field lighting
  • baseball field lighting
  • football field lighting
  • soccer field lighting
  • rural roadway lighting
  • agricultural property lighting
  • utility distribution

The CCA treated wood construction addresses termite, decay, and rot exposure. Final pole selection must account for site soil conditions, attached equipment, and structural loading requirements.

Installation and Long-Term Use

This pole is installed by direct burial with 6.5 feet below grade. The installed configuration leaves 38.5 feet of pole height above grade.

Handling requires equipment and procedures suitable for an 800 to 970 pound pole. Site preparation must maintain the specified burial depth and account for the pole’s tapered butt diameter.

Periodic inspection should address wood condition, ground-line condition, and attached equipment. Any changes to fixture weight or attached equipment should be evaluated against project structural requirements.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

For baseball field lighting, softball field lighting, soccer field lighting, football field lighting, and sports field lighting, poles are positioned as part of the overall field layout. The 38.5 foot above-grade height establishes the available fixture elevation.

For rural roadway lighting, agricultural property lighting, and utility distribution, direct-buried pole locations follow the site layout and utility requirements. Pole placement and spacing depend on the project layout and attached equipment.

A higher mounting position can affect the overall lighting layout, but specific fixture spacing and coverage are not established by the supplied pole data.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. It is Class 4.

The pole carries a 1 year warranty.
