Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview

This is a 45 foot wood utility pole manufactured from Ponderosa Pine and treated with CCA preservative. The pole is ANSI Class 4 rated and designed for direct burial installation. It provides a minimum top outside diameter of 6.7 inches and a circumference of 21 inches at the top.

The pole is intended for use in electrical infrastructure and utility distribution. It is pressure treated to resist termites, decay, and rot. The total pole weight ranges from 800 to 970 pounds, with a minimum circumference of 38.5 inches measured 6 feet from the butt.

Height above grade is 38.5 feet, with a buried depth of 6.5 feet. The pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification and meets American Wood Preservers Association standards.

Where This Product Fits Best

This 45 foot Class 4 wood pole is suited for outdoor electrical distribution, lighting, and utility support where direct burial is required. It is commonly used in commercial, industrial, and municipal infrastructure projects.

The CCA treatment allows the pole to be installed in environments where exposure to soil, moisture, and biological agents is expected. The pole's size and strength support medium-duty overhead lines and lighting applications.

Use cases include roadway lighting, area lighting, and utility line support in locations where steel or concrete poles are not required or preferred.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The pole provides a load capacity in the 800-970 pound range, supporting typical Class 4 utility and lighting loads. The Ponderosa Pine construction offers a balance of strength and manageable weight for handling and installation.

CCA treatment extends the service life of the pole by protecting against rot, decay, and insect damage. The direct burial design eliminates the need for anchor bases or above-grade mounting hardware.

The minimum top diameter and circumference ensure compatibility with standard utility hardware and crossarms. The pole's dimensions are consistent with ANSI and AWPA requirements for Class 4 installations.

Installation and Long-Term Use

This pole is designed for direct burial, with 6.5 feet of the total length installed below grade. Proper burial depth is critical for stability and load support.

The weight range of 800-970 pounds requires appropriate equipment for handling and setting. The CCA treatment allows for installation in a variety of soil conditions without additional protective coatings.

Long-term maintenance is limited to periodic inspection for physical damage or environmental wear. The treated wood construction is intended to minimize maintenance related to decay or insect activity.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

After installation, this 45 foot wood pole is typically used to support overhead electrical lines, area lighting fixtures, or utility equipment. The pole's height and strength allow for mounting of multiple fixtures or conductors as required by the application.

Operators can attach standard hardware, brackets, or crossarms to the pole using industry-standard methods. The treated surface does not require additional field treatment at the time of installation.

Routine inspection is performed visually from the ground or during scheduled maintenance cycles. The pole's direct burial design means there are no exposed base plates or anchor bolts to monitor.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification and meets American Wood Preservers Association standards.

The product carries a 1-year warranty from LED Lighting Supply.

CCA treatment is applied to all wood surfaces for protection against decay and insects.
