Our 45 foot Class 2 CCA Treated Southern Yellow Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are treated with preservatives to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to ensure rot and decay prevention. The long term durability of a wood utility pole is one of its main benefits

Cross arms are available for our Southern Yellow Pine poles as an optional accessory. Configuration and sizing are determined based on project requirements, as well as the height and class of the selected pole. We offer both 8-foot and 10-foot cross arms, our product specialists can help confirm the appropriate size for your application.

Delivery is made with a standard flatbed truck depending on pole lengths and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload - customer supplied. Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at time of delivery. Installation should be done by a trained professional.

Pricing: Does not include price of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.

Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including Douglas fir and red pine. CCA treatment generally will result in the poles being free of insects for decades to come.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview

This is a 45 foot Class 2 wood pole made from Southern Yellow Pine. The pole is CCA treated for rot and decay resistance. It is designed for direct burial installation, with 38.5 feet of height above grade and 6.5 feet below grade.

The pole meets ANSI Class 2 requirements and is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Minimum pole top circumference is 25 inches, with a minimum circumference of 40.5 inches measured 6 feet from the butt. Pole top outside diameter is at least 8 inches, and outside diameter 6 feet from the butt is 12.9 inches.

Pole weight ranges from 1715 to 2020 pounds depending on wood density and moisture content. The pole is suitable for supporting LED lighting fixtures and related infrastructure.

Cross arms are available as an accessory and can be configured based on project needs and pole height.

Where This Product Fits Best

This 45 foot Class 2 wood pole is suited for outdoor lighting infrastructure where a tall mounting height is required. Typical applications include street lighting, roadway lighting, and area lighting for large exterior spaces.

The direct burial design is intended for permanent installation in soil. The CCA treatment allows use in environments where wood is exposed to moisture and ground contact.

Facilities that require support for multiple cross arms or heavier lighting loads can use this pole, as it is rated to support up to 240 pounds per cross arm with 2 to 4 total cross arms.

It is appropriate for use in municipal, commercial, and industrial exterior lighting projects where wood poles are preferred or specified.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The pole's ANSI Class 2 rating defines its structural capacity and suitability for supporting lighting fixtures and cross arms. The CCA treatment provides resistance to rot and decay in outdoor and buried conditions.

With a total height of 45 feet and 38.5 feet above grade, this pole allows for elevated fixture mounting to achieve wide area coverage. The minimum pole top and butt dimensions support stable installation and load distribution.

The pole is designed for direct burial, requiring a 6.5 foot embedment below grade for stability. Weight and dimensions should be considered for handling and installation planning.

Cross arm configuration can be adjusted based on the number and type of fixtures to be mounted, within the specified load limits.

Installation and Long-Term Use

Installation requires excavation for direct burial to a depth of 6.5 feet. The pole's weight and length require appropriate equipment for transport, handling, and setting.

CCA treatment protects the wood from decay and insect damage over time, supporting long-term use in outdoor environments. The pole is intended for permanent installation and should be inspected periodically for physical condition and structural integrity.

Cross arms can be installed at the required height and orientation based on lighting layout. The pole's dimensions and load rating must be observed when mounting fixtures and accessories.

Routine maintenance may include inspection for surface damage, checking for signs of rot at the ground line, and verifying the condition of mounted hardware.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

After installation, this 45 foot wood pole provides a stable mounting point for LED lighting fixtures and associated hardware. The height above grade allows for wide area illumination and helps minimize obstructions in the lighting pattern.

Operators can mount 2 to 4 cross arms, each supporting up to 240 pounds, to accommodate multiple fixtures or other equipment as needed. The pole's treated wood construction is relied upon for durability in outdoor conditions.

In day-to-day operation, the pole remains static, supporting lighting and electrical infrastructure. Adjustments are typically limited to fixture maintenance or replacement, with the pole serving as a long-term structural element.

Facility teams interact with the pole primarily during fixture servicing, cross arm adjustments, or periodic inspections for condition and stability.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification and carries an ANSI Class 2 rating.

The wood is CCA treated for resistance to rot and decay in direct burial and outdoor use.

LED Lighting Supply provides a 1 year warranty on this pole.
