Our CCA Treated 45 Foot Wood Pole Class 1 Treated Ponderosa Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent damage from termites, decay and rot regardless of the species used.
Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload - customer supplied. Customers are responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment or area to store poles available at the time of delivery. Please contact a sales representative prior to purchasing to ensure all the project details are clear.
Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
The 45 Foot Wood Pole, Class 1, is crafted from CCA-treated Ponderosa Pine, designed for robust applications in sports lighting and stadium pole installations. With a total height of 45 feet and a height above grade of 38.5 feet, this pole is suitable for direct burial installation. It adheres to ANSI O5.1 standards, ensuring reliability and performance in demanding environments.
This wood pole is particularly suited for outdoor sports fields and stadiums, where its structural integrity and height are essential for optimal lighting coverage. The pole's weight ranges from 1225 to 1450 lbs, providing a stable foundation for lighting fixtures.
Core Performance and Output
The structural capacity of this 45-foot wood pole is designed to support significant wind loads and fixture weights, making it ideal for sports lighting applications. Its Class 1 rating ensures it can withstand environmental stresses, while the CCA treatment protects against decay and termite damage. The pole's dimensions, including a minimum top circumference of 27 inches and a circumference of 47.5 inches six feet from the butt, contribute to its robust performance.
While the pole is suitable for a variety of lighting fixtures, it is important to consider the weight and EPA (Effective Projected Area) of the fixtures to ensure compatibility with the pole's structural limits. Excessive fixture weight or wind load may require additional support or a different pole class.
Adjustability and Control Options
This wood pole does not include integrated adjustability or control options, as it is primarily a structural component. However, it can accommodate various lighting fixtures that offer adjustability and control features. The pole's design allows for the installation of fixtures with adjustable mounting brackets, enabling precise aiming and control of light distribution.
For installations requiring advanced control options, such as dimming or remote operation, compatible fixtures with these capabilities should be selected and mounted on the pole.
Longevity and Reliability
The CCA treatment applied to this Ponderosa Pine pole enhances its longevity by protecting it against rot, decay, and insect damage. This treatment ensures the pole remains structurally sound over time, even in harsh outdoor environments. The pole's compliance with ANSI O5.1 standards further guarantees its reliability and performance.
Regular inspections and maintenance, such as checking for signs of wear or damage, can help extend the pole's lifespan and ensure continued safe operation.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
Constructed from high-quality Ponderosa Pine, this wood pole is designed for durability and strength. The pole's physical characteristics, including its 45-foot height and substantial weight, make it suitable for demanding applications such as sports field lighting. The CCA treatment enhances its resistance to environmental factors, ensuring long-term performance.
The pole's dimensions, including a minimum top outer diameter of 8.6 inches and an outer diameter of 15.1 inches six feet from the butt, provide a stable and secure foundation for lighting fixtures.
Where This Product Fits Best
This 45-foot wood pole is best suited for outdoor environments where height and structural integrity are critical. Its design and treatment make it ideal for:
- baseball field lighting
- soccer field lighting
- football field lighting
- sports field lighting
- recreational field lighting
- area lighting
The pole's CCA treatment ensures it can withstand exposure to the elements, making it suitable for use in various climates and weather conditions. Its direct burial installation method provides a secure and stable foundation for lighting applications.
Installation and Long-Term Use
Installation of this wood pole involves direct burial, with a buried depth of 6.5 feet below grade. This method provides stability and support for the pole, ensuring it remains upright and secure. The pole's weight and dimensions require careful handling during installation, and appropriate equipment should be used to ensure safety.
For long-term use, regular inspections are recommended to check for signs of wear or damage. The CCA treatment provides protection against decay and insect damage, but environmental factors such as high winds or heavy loads should be monitored to prevent structural issues.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
This wood pole is commonly used in sports field lighting applications, where its height and structural capacity are essential for optimal light distribution. Typical mounting heights for fixtures on this pole range from 30 to 38 feet, depending on the specific lighting requirements and field layout.
Spacing and layout patterns for fixtures may vary based on the field size and lighting design. Higher output fixtures can reduce the number of poles required but may increase glare if not properly aimed and controlled.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This wood pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards for safety and performance. The CCA treatment provides additional protection against environmental factors, enhancing the pole's safety and longevity.
A 1-year warranty is included, covering manufacturing defects and ensuring peace of mind for the end user. Regular maintenance and inspections are recommended to maintain the pole's safety and performance over time.
