Our CCA Treated 45 Foot Wood Pole Class 1 Treated Ponderosa Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent damage from termites, decay and rot regardless of the species used.
Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload – customer supplied. Customers are responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment or area to store poles available at the time of delivery. Please contact a sales representative prior to purchasing to ensure all the project details are clear.
Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
This 45 foot wood light pole is a Class 1, CCA-treated Ponderosa Pine pole for direct burial installation. It provides 38.5 feet of height above grade with 6.5 feet below grade.
The pole is used for sports field lighting layouts where a wood pole structure is required. It is grown, debarked, and treated in the United States.
Core Performance and Output
This pole has a 45 foot total length, a minimum top circumference of 27 inches, and a minimum circumference of 47.5 inches at 6 feet from the butt. Minimum outside diameter is 8.6 inches at the top and 15.1 inches at 6 feet from the butt.
Pole weight ranges from 1,225 to 1,450 pounds. The supplied data identifies ANSI Class 1 construction but does not provide EPA or fixture loading values, so fixture loading and project wind requirements must be established for the installation.
Adjustability and Control Options
This is a fixed-length 45 foot pole with a direct burial installation configuration. Above-grade height is set by the specified 6.5 foot buried depth.
The pole does not include lighting controls, fixture controls, or adjustable height components. Control equipment is determined by the lighting system installed on the pole.
Longevity and Reliability
The Ponderosa Pine is pressure treated with CCA preservative treatment. The treatment is applied to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards.
The preservative treatment is intended to prevent damage from termites, decay, and rot. The pole includes a 1 year warranty.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
The pole is manufactured from Ponderosa Pine and meets ANSI O5.1 specification. Its natural wood form has a larger butt diameter and a smaller top diameter.
Direct burial installation requires handling equipment suitable for the 1,225 to 1,450 pound pole weight. The 6.5 foot below-grade section is part of the pole’s specified installation configuration.
Where This Product Fits Best
This pole fits outdoor sports field lighting layouts that require a 45 foot direct-burial wood structure. Its Class 1 construction and treated wood material align with field-based lighting installations.
- football field lighting
- soccer field lighting
- baseball field lighting
- softball field lighting
- driving range lighting
- recreational field lighting
CCA treatment supports outdoor exposure conditions where decay, rot, and termite resistance are required. Final pole loading must be matched to the fixture assembly and project conditions.
Installation and Long-Term Use
The pole is installed by direct burial with 6.5 feet below grade, leaving 38.5 feet above grade. Site access, lifting equipment, excavation conditions, and the completed lighting assembly affect installation planning.
Field layouts should establish pole locations before excavation so fixture aiming and field coverage can be coordinated. The supplied data does not establish fixture loading or spacing values.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
For baseball field lighting, softball field lighting, football field lighting, and soccer field lighting, poles are positioned around the field layout to support the planned lighting system. The 38.5 foot above-grade height is the installed structural height when the specified burial depth is maintained.
Driving range lighting and recreational field lighting layouts also depend on pole placement relative to the activity area. Higher fixture output can reduce fixture count, but final spacing and aiming depend on the lighting design.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This pole meets ANSI O5.1 specification. It is ANSI Class 1.
The pole is CCA treated and includes a 1 year warranty. Direct burial depth is specified at 6.5 feet.
