Product Overview

Our 40 Foot Wood Pole, Class 3, is crafted from Ponderosa Pine and treated with CCA to ensure durability and resistance to decay, termites, and rot. Designed for direct burial installation, this pole is suitable for various outdoor lighting applications, particularly in sports and stadium settings. With a total height of 40 feet and a height above grade of 34 feet, it meets ANSI O5.1 specifications, making it a reliable choice for supporting lighting fixtures in demanding environments.

Core Performance and Output

This wood pole offers a robust structural capacity, supporting a range of lighting fixtures with its Class 3 ANSI rating. The pole's weight ranges from 775 to 925 lbs, providing stability and strength for outdoor installations. The CCA treatment enhances its longevity by protecting against environmental factors. The pole's dimensions, including a minimum top circumference of 23 inches and a circumference of 39.5 inches six feet from the butt, ensure compatibility with various mounting requirements. Note that excessive wind loads may require additional structural considerations.

Adjustability and Control Options

The 40 Foot Wood Pole does not include integrated adjustability or control options. It is designed for fixed installations where stability and height are critical. Any adjustments or controls would need to be managed through the lighting fixtures or additional mounting hardware attached to the pole.

Longevity and Reliability

Manufactured to ANSI O5.1 standards, this pole is built for long-term reliability in outdoor environments. The CCA treatment ensures resistance to decay and insect damage, extending the pole's lifespan. Regular inspections and maintenance can further enhance its durability, particularly in areas with harsh weather conditions.

Build Quality and Physical Characteristics

Constructed from Ponderosa Pine, this pole is both sturdy and lightweight, facilitating easier handling during installation. The pressure and preservative treatments adhere to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards, ensuring the pole's resilience against environmental stressors. Its direct burial design simplifies installation, reducing the need for additional mounting structures.

The pole's CCA treatment makes it suitable for various climates, including areas prone to moisture and insect activity. Its structural integrity supports consistent performance in both rural and urban settings.

Installation and Long-Term Use

Installation involves direct burial, requiring a six-foot depth below grade for stability. The pole's weight and dimensions necessitate appropriate equipment for handling and positioning. Over time, regular inspections for signs of wear or environmental impact are recommended to maintain structural integrity. In high-wind areas, additional anchoring or support may be necessary to ensure safety and performance.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

Typically installed at heights of 34 feet above grade, this pole supports a variety of lighting configurations. Spacing and layout depend on the specific lighting requirements and fixture types used. While higher mounting heights can reduce fixture count, they may also increase the need for more powerful lighting solutions to maintain adequate illumination levels.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
