Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.

Where This Product Fits Best

This 35-foot Class 5 treated wood pole is suited for power distribution and telecommunications infrastructure where a direct burial wood pole is required.

It is appropriate for outdoor environments where resistance to termites, decay, and rot is necessary. The CCA treatment supports long-term use in exposed locations.

Facilities with requirements for ANSI Class 5 poles will find this product compatible with standard utility and lighting applications.

Use cases include utility line support, area lighting, and mounting of communication equipment in commercial, industrial, and municipal settings.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The CCA treatment protects the Ponderosa Pine pole against insect damage and wood decay, supporting reliable long-term performance in outdoor installations.

Direct burial installation is supported by the pole's dimensions and treatment, with 5.5 feet of the pole designed to be below grade for stability.

The pole's weight and circumference provide the structural characteristics required for ANSI Class 5 applications.

Minimum top and butt diameters ensure compatibility with standard hardware and mounting brackets used in utility and lighting installations.

Installation and Long-Term Use

This pole is intended for direct burial installation, with 5.5 feet below grade and 29.5 feet above grade after installation. Proper burial depth is critical for stability and compliance with standard practices.

The CCA treatment extends service life by reducing susceptibility to rot and insect damage. Routine inspection is recommended to monitor for physical damage or environmental wear over time.

Weight ranges from 480 to 570 pounds, so equipment or crew planning should account for safe handling and placement during installation.

All dimensions and treatment specifications are consistent with ANSI O5.1 and American Wood Preservers Association standards for utility pole applications.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

After installation, this 35-foot wood pole is typically used to support overhead power lines, area lighting fixtures, or telecommunications equipment. The pole's treated surface resists decay and insect activity, reducing maintenance needs in most environments.

Direct burial installation means there are no base plates or anchor bolts to maintain. The exposed wood above grade can be inspected visually for signs of wear or impact damage.

Standard hardware can be attached to the pole using approved mounting methods. The pole's circumference and diameter support compatibility with common brackets and crossarms.

Operators can expect the pole to remain stable and functional in outdoor conditions, provided routine inspection and maintenance are performed as needed.
