Our CCA Treated 35 Foot Wood Pole Class 5 Treated Ponderosa Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent damage from termites, decay and rot regardless of the species used.
Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload – customer supplied. Customers are responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment or area to store poles available at the time of delivery. Please contact a sales representative prior to purchasing to ensure all the project details are clear.
Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
This 35 foot Class 5 wood pole is a direct-burial structural pole made from Ponderosa Pine. It provides 29.5 feet of height above grade with 5.5 feet installed below grade.
The pole is pressure treated with CCA and manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Its form factor supports permanent outdoor installations where wood utility-style poles are used for sports field lighting and utility distribution.
Core Performance and Output
This pole has a 35 foot total length, a minimum 19 inch top circumference, and a minimum 32 inch circumference measured 6 feet from the butt. The minimum top outside diameter is 6 inches, and the outside diameter 6 feet from the butt is 10.2 inches.
Pole weight ranges from 480 to 570 pounds. Class 5 designation identifies the pole class, but fixture loading, wind exposure, and attachment design must be evaluated for the specific installation.
Adjustability and Control Options
This is a fixed-height wood pole with direct-burial installation. It does not include electrical controls, lighting controls, or adjustable structural components.
Final above-grade height is established by the 5.5 foot burial depth. Changes to burial depth alter the installed height and should be evaluated against project requirements.
Longevity and Reliability
The Ponderosa Pine pole receives CCA preservative treatment. The treatment is intended to address termites, decay, and rot.
Long-term condition depends on proper direct-burial installation and periodic inspection of the pole, attachments, and below-grade transition area. The stated warranty is one year.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
The pole is grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. It is manufactured from Ponderosa Pine and built to ANSI O5.1 specification.
Its 480 to 570 pound weight requires appropriate handling equipment during unloading and setting. The tapered wood profile has a larger butt diameter for direct-burial installation and a smaller pole top for overhead attachment planning.
Where This Product Fits Best
This pole fits outdoor installations requiring a 29.5 foot above-grade wood support structure and direct burial. It is used where Class 5 wood poles align with the structural and site requirements of the project.
- sports field lighting
- baseball field lighting
- softball field lighting
- soccer field lighting
- football field lighting
- driving range lighting
- utility distribution
CCA treatment supports outdoor exposure concerns associated with termites, decay, and rot. Site soil conditions, attachment loads, wind conditions, and burial requirements remain project-specific factors.
Installation and Long-Term Use
The pole installs by direct burial with 5.5 feet below grade, leaving 29.5 feet above grade. The full pole length is 35 feet.
Installation crews need to account for the 480 to 570 pound pole weight during handling, setting, and alignment. The pole should be kept plumb before backfill is completed and attachments are installed.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
For sports field lighting, baseball field lighting, softball field lighting, soccer field lighting, football field lighting, and driving range lighting, the installed pole height is 29.5 feet above grade. Utility distribution installations use the same direct-burial pole configuration.
Layout patterns depend on the field or utility distribution design and the required pole locations. Pole placement must account for attachment loading and site conditions because the supplied data does not establish spacing or fixture quantities.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. The wood is pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards.
The warranty is one year. Direct-burial work, lifting, structural attachments, and electrical work must be completed by qualified personnel.
