Our CCA Treated 35 Foot Wood Pole Class 4 Treated Ponderosa Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent damage from termites, decay and rot regardless of the species used.

Our 35 ft round wood poles are perfect for sports fields, baseball fields, and a utility pole project. You can add up to 4 light arms per pole. Each arm can accommodate 240 lbs per arm. Number of arms and lights depends on the class of pole you select. The class will determine the diameter at the base. Availability can change based on the quantity and length required as different sizes can have different lead times. Our poles are built with durability in mind to ensure long-lasting performance.

Options Available:

Cross Arms (4 per pole, 2 per side) and Mounting Brackets. Customer is responsible for mounting Cross Arm after poles are delivered. Poles do not ship with cross arms attached.

These are the lights we typically mount on the cross arms. Up to 6 lights per arm, not to exceed 240 total pounds of fixtures and hardware.

Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload ? customer supplied. Customers are responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment or area to store poles available at the time of delivery. Please contact a sales representative prior to purchasing to ensure all the project details are clear.

Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.

Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1 year-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview

This is a 35-foot Class 4 wood utility pole manufactured from Ponderosa Pine and pressure-treated with CCA preservative. The pole is built to ANSI O5.1 specification and treated to American Wood Preservers Association standards for resistance to termites, decay, and rot.

Total pole height is 35 feet with 29.5 feet above grade and 5.5 feet buried below grade. The pole is designed for direct burial installation. Weight ranges from 540 to 640 pounds depending on natural variation in the wood.

Minimum circumference at the pole top is 21 inches with a minimum diameter of 6.684 inches. At 6 feet from the butt, minimum circumference is 34.5 inches with a minimum diameter of 10.981 inches.

Where This Product Fits Best

This pole is used in sports field lighting, baseball field lighting, and general utility pole applications where a direct burial wood pole is appropriate. The 29.5-foot above-grade height and Class 4 rating support mounting configurations common to outdoor recreational facilities.

The pole accepts up to 4 cross arms total, with a maximum of 2 cross arms per side. Each cross arm supports up to 240 pounds of fixtures and hardware. This capacity accommodates multi-fixture layouts used in field lighting applications where coverage requires several mounting points per pole.

Performance and Functional Considerations

Class 4 designation under ANSI O5.1 defines the structural capacity and taper of the pole. The minimum diameters at the top and base determine compatibility with hardware, cross arms, and mounting brackets.

CCA treatment provides protection against biological degradation in direct burial conditions. The treatment process follows American Wood Preservers Association standards and is applied under pressure to ensure penetration into the wood.

Load capacity is defined per cross arm at 240 pounds maximum. Total fixture and hardware weight on each arm must stay within this limit. The number of fixtures mounted depends on individual fixture weights and bracket hardware.

Installation and Long-Term Use

This pole is installed by direct burial with 5.5 feet below grade. Soil conditions and compaction requirements should be evaluated prior to installation. Pole weight of 540 to 640 pounds requires equipment for handling and setting.

Cross arms are not attached during shipping. The customer is responsible for mounting cross arms after poles are delivered. Cross arms and mounting brackets are available as separate options.

The Ponderosa Pine material and CCA treatment are selected for long-term outdoor exposure. Periodic inspection of the pole base and hardware connections supports continued structural integrity over time.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

Facilities typically mount luminaires to cross arms using compatible brackets, with up to 6 fixtures per arm as long as total weight does not exceed 240 pounds including hardware. Arm placement on the pole determines fixture orientation and coverage direction for the field or area being lit.

Cross arm configuration varies based on how many sides of a field require coverage from each pole location. Using 2 arms per side allows aiming fixtures in multiple directions from the same pole, which is common in corner or perimeter positions around sports fields.

After installation, cross arm and fixture adjustments may be needed to finalize aiming. Access typically requires a bucket truck or climbing equipment. Hardware connections should be checked after initial installation and periodically thereafter.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Treatment follows American Wood Preservers Association standards for CCA pressure treatment.

The pole is grown, debarked, and treated in the United States.

Warranty coverage is 1 year.
