Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
This 35 foot wood light and utility pole is a Class 4 CCA-treated Ponderosa Pine pole for direct burial installation. It provides 29.5 feet above grade with 5.5 feet buried below grade.
The pole is used for sports field lighting and utility distribution where a wood pole structure is required. It is grown, debarked, and treated in the United States.
Core Performance and Output
This pole has a 35 foot total length and a Class 4 ANSI designation. The minimum top outside diameter is 6.7 inches, and the outside diameter 6 feet from the butt is 11 inches.
Minimum top circumference is 21 inches. Minimum circumference 6 feet from the butt is 34.5 inches.
Above-grade height is fixed by the 5.5 foot direct burial depth. Final fixture loading and structural requirements must be evaluated for the installed lighting system.
Adjustability and Control Options
This is a fixed-height wood pole with no integrated adjustment features. The pole does not include lighting controls, electrical equipment, or fixture mounting hardware.
Control equipment and fixture configuration are determined by the lighting system installed on the pole. Direct burial depth remains 5.5 feet.
Longevity and Reliability
The Ponderosa Pine pole is CCA treated. The wood is pressure treated and preservative treated to American Wood Preservers Association standards.
The treatment is intended to help prevent damage from termites, decay, and rot. The warranty is 1 year.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
This pole is constructed from Ponderosa Pine and weighs 540 to 640 pounds. Wood dimensions vary along the length, with a larger butt section for direct burial installation.
The pole is debarked before treatment. Total length is 35 feet.
Where This Product Fits Best
This pole fits outdoor field and utility installations requiring a direct-buried wood structure with 29.5 feet above grade.
- sports field lighting
- football field lighting
- baseball field lighting
- softball field lighting
- soccer field lighting
- driving range lighting
- rural roadway lighting
- utility distribution
CCA treatment supports outdoor wood-pole use where exposure to termites, decay, and rot is a concern. The installation requires a 5.5 foot buried section.
Installation and Long-Term Use
The pole installs by direct burial with 5.5 feet below grade. The remaining 29.5 feet stays above grade for the supported system.
Handling equipment must account for the 540 to 640 pound pole weight and 35 foot length. Pole condition, burial depth, and installed loading should be checked during long-term maintenance.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
For sports field lighting, the pole supports elevated fixture placement above the field area. Pole locations and aiming patterns are determined by the lighting layout and field requirements.
For rural roadway lighting and utility distribution, placement follows the site layout and system requirements. Higher fixture output can reduce pole count, but layout requirements still control pole placement.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. It is CCA treated.
The warranty is 1 year. Direct burial installation requires 5.5 feet below grade.
