Our 30 foot Class 6 CCA Treated Southern Yellow Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. 30 ft utility poles are treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent decay and damage from insects.

Our 30 foot wood poles are the perfect length for tennis courts and parking lots outside stores. You can add 2 light arms per side, 4 in total. Each arm can accommodate 240 lbs per arm. One of the benefits of wood poles includes a long life span.

Options Available:

Cross Arms (4 per pole, 2 per side) and Mounting Brackets. The customer is responsible for mounting the crossarm after the poles are delivered. Poles do not ship with cross arms attached.

These are the lights we typically mount on the crossarms. Up to 6 lights per arm, not to exceed 240 total pounds of fixtures and hardware.

Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a forklift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload - customer supplied. Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at the time of delivery.

Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days to your delivery location.

Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including Douglas fir and red pine. CCA treatment generally will result in the poles being free of insects for decades to come.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview

This is a 30 foot wood utility pole manufactured from Southern Yellow Pine. The pole is CCA treated for durability and long-term outdoor use. It is classified as ANSI Class 6 and is designed for direct burial installation.

The total pole height is 30 feet, with 25 feet above grade and 5 feet below grade once installed. The pole weight ranges from 510 to 605 pounds. Minimum top circumference is 17 inches, and minimum circumference 6 feet from the butt is 25 inches.

The pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification and treated to American Wood Preservers Association standards. It is suitable for supporting cross arms and lighting fixtures in exterior environments.

Cross arms and mounting brackets are available as options. Cross arms are not attached to the pole prior to delivery and must be mounted on site.

Where This Product Fits Best

This 30 foot Class 6 wood pole is commonly used in outdoor lighting applications where a 25 foot mounting height is required. Typical installations include parking lots, tennis courts, and exterior areas around commercial or retail properties.

The pole supports up to four cross arms, with two per side. Each arm can accommodate up to 240 pounds of fixtures and hardware. This makes the pole suitable for mounting multiple LED area lights or flood lights per arm, within the specified weight limits.

Direct burial installation is required, with 5 feet of the pole set below grade. The CCA treatment and Southern Yellow Pine construction provide resistance to decay and insect damage in outdoor environments.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The ANSI Class 6 rating defines the structural capacity of the pole. The pole supports up to five cross arms, with a maximum of 240 pounds per arm. This allows for flexible lighting layouts while maintaining structural integrity.

Minimum pole top outside diameter is 5.4 inches, and outside diameter 6 feet from the butt is 8 inches. These dimensions are relevant for selecting compatible mounting hardware and cross arms.

The CCA treatment extends the service life of the pole by protecting against rot and insect activity. The Southern Yellow Pine material is selected for strength and durability in utility applications.

Direct burial installation eliminates the need for anchor bases or bolt patterns. The pole is designed for installation directly into the ground at the specified depth.

Installation and Long-Term Use

Installation requires setting the pole with 5 feet below grade, leaving 25 feet above grade for mounting fixtures and cross arms. The pole weight of 510 to 605 pounds should be considered when planning for equipment and crew requirements.

Cross arms and mounting brackets must be installed on site after the pole is set. The pole does not ship with cross arms attached. All mounting hardware and fixtures must remain within the specified weight limits per arm.

The CCA treatment and wood species selection are intended to provide a long service life with minimal maintenance. Periodic inspection for physical damage or environmental wear is recommended as part of routine site maintenance.

Direct burial installation is standard for this pole type. No additional foundation or anchor system is required beyond proper excavation and backfill.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

After installation, this 30 foot wood pole provides a 25 foot mounting height for area lighting. You can mount up to four cross arms, two per side, and each arm can support multiple LED fixtures as long as the total weight does not exceed 240 pounds per arm.

Operators typically use this pole to support lighting layouts for parking lots, sports courts, or exterior site lighting. The pole's height and arm capacity allow for broad coverage and flexible fixture placement.

Once installed, the pole requires minimal interaction beyond routine inspection. The CCA treatment and wood construction are intended to withstand outdoor conditions over time.

Any adjustments to lighting layouts or fixture replacements should be performed with attention to the specified weight limits and mounting hardware compatibility.
