Our CCA Treated 30 Foot Wood Pole Class 5 Treated Ponderosa Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent damage from termites, decay and rot regardless of the species used.
Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload – customer supplied. Customers are responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment or area to store poles available at the time of delivery. Please contact a sales representative prior to purchasing to ensure all the project details are clear.
Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
This 30 foot Class 5 wood utility pole is a direct-burial support structure made from Ponderosa pine. It provides 25 feet of height above grade with 5 feet installed below grade.
The pole is CCA treated and manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. It is intended for sports field lighting and other listed utility and lighting support applications where a wood pole structure is appropriate.
Core Performance and Output
This pole has a 30 foot overall length, a minimum 19 inch top circumference, and a minimum 30 inch circumference measured 6 feet from the butt. Minimum outside diameter is 6 inches at the top and 9.5 inches at 6 feet from the butt.
The installed height above grade is 25 feet when buried to the specified 5 foot depth. Structural loading, fixture weight, wind exposure, and attached equipment must be evaluated for the planned installation because EPA and fixture load limits are not provided.
Adjustability and Control Options
This is a fixed-height wood pole with direct-burial installation. The above-grade height is established by the burial depth during installation.
No fixture mounting hardware, controls, dimming equipment, or electrical components are included in the supplied product data. Lighting controls and fixture arrangements must be specified separately.
Longevity and Reliability
The Ponderosa pine pole receives CCA preservative treatment. The treatment is intended to help prevent termite damage, decay, and rot.
The pole is pressure treated to current American Wood Preservers Association standards. Warranty coverage is 1 year.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
The pole is grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. Pole weight ranges from 375 to 450 pounds.
Its tapered wood construction has a larger butt diameter for direct burial and a smaller top diameter for attached equipment. Installation requires handling equipment appropriate for the pole weight and length.
Where This Product Fits Best
This pole fits listed sports field, utility distribution, rural roadway, and property lighting applications requiring a 25 foot above-grade wood support structure.
- sports field lighting
- baseball field lighting
- football field lighting
- driving range lighting
- rural roadway lighting
- agricultural property lighting
- utility distribution
CCA treatment supports installations where decay, rot, and termite exposure are operating considerations. Final use must account for project-specific structural loading and local installation requirements.
Installation and Long-Term Use
The pole installs by direct burial with 5 feet below grade, leaving 25 feet above grade. The excavation, backfill, alignment, and equipment attachment method must match the project design.
Handling a 375 to 450 pound wood pole requires suitable lifting and setting equipment. Field inspection should confirm treatment condition, straightness, and any damage before installation.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
This pole is deployed at a 25 foot above-grade height for listed sports field lighting, rural roadway lighting, agricultural property lighting, and utility distribution installations. Pole placement follows the required lighting or utility layout.
Sports field lighting layouts typically position poles around the activity area, while rural roadway lighting and agricultural property lighting layouts follow the property or roadway path. Pole spacing varies with the attached equipment, target light levels, and layout requirements.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. It is pressure treated and preservative treated to current American Wood Preservers Association standards.
The warranty is 1 year. Direct-burial depth, structural loading, attached equipment, and installation conditions must be verified before setting the pole.
