Our CCA Treated 30 Foot Wood Pole Class 4 Treated Ponderosa Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent damage from termites, decay and rot regardless of the species used.

Our 30 ft round wood poles are perfect for sports fields, baseball fields, and a utility pole project. You can add up to 4 light arms per pole. Each arm can accommodate 240 lbs per arm. Number of arms and lights depends on the class of pole you select. The class will determine the diameter at the base. Availability can change based on the quantity and length required as different sizes can have different lead times. Our poles are built with durability in mind to ensure long-lasting performance.

Options Available:

Cross Arms (4 per pole, 2 per side) and Mounting Brackets. Customer is responsible for mounting Cross Arm after poles are delivered. Poles do not ship with cross arms attached.

These are the lights we typically mount on the cross arms. Up to 6 lights per arm, not to exceed 240 total pounds of fixtures and hardware.

Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload ? customer supplied. Customers are responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment or area to store poles available at the time of delivery. Please contact a sales representative prior to purchasing to ensure all the project details are clear.

Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.

Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1 year-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview

This is a 30-foot Class 4 wood pole manufactured from Ponderosa Pine and pressure treated with CCA preservative. The pole meets ANSI O5.1 specifications and American Wood Preservers Association standards for preservative treatment. Total pole weight ranges from 430 to 505 pounds.

The pole is configured for direct burial installation with 5 feet set below grade and 25 feet of usable height above grade. Minimum circumference at the top measures 21 inches with a minimum diameter of 6.684 inches. At 6 feet from the butt, minimum circumference is 32.5 inches with a minimum diameter of 10.345 inches.

Where This Product Fits Best

This pole is sized for sports field and baseball field lighting applications where a 25-foot above-grade mounting height is appropriate. The Class 4 rating and cross arm capacity support multi-fixture installations on a single structure.

The CCA treatment protects against termite damage, decay, and rot, making this pole suitable for permanent outdoor installations where the base will remain in contact with soil and moisture over time.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The pole supports a maximum of 4 cross arms total, with up to 2 cross arms permitted per side. Each cross arm can hold up to 240 pounds of attached weight, which includes fixtures, mounting hardware, and any additional equipment.

Fixture and arm quantities must be planned against the 240-pound-per-arm limit. The actual number of luminaires that can be mounted depends on the weight of the specific fixtures and brackets selected for the project.

Installation and Long-Term Use

This pole installs by direct burial to a depth of 5 feet. Poles ship without cross arms attached. The customer or installer is responsible for mounting cross arms to the pole after delivery.

Cross arms and mounting brackets are available separately. Lead times may vary depending on quantity and length required, as production availability differs across pole sizes.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

Once installed, the pole serves as the permanent mounting structure for area lighting at sports fields and similar outdoor venues. With 25 feet of height above grade, it positions fixtures high enough to cover playing surfaces while keeping the light source out of direct sightlines.

The 4-arm maximum and 240-pound-per-arm limit define how many fixtures can be distributed across the pole. Installers typically plan fixture layouts around these constraints during the design phase, balancing coverage needs with the structural capacity of each arm position.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Preservative treatment follows American Wood Preservers Association standards.

We provide a 1-year warranty on this product.
