Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Where This Product Fits Best

This 30 foot Class 4 wood pole is suitable for utility and lighting projects where direct burial installation is required. It is commonly used for supporting area lighting, distribution lines, or site infrastructure in commercial and industrial environments.

The CCA treatment and Ponderosa Pine construction make it appropriate for outdoor use where exposure to soil, moisture, and insects is expected. The pole's dimensions and weight support applications requiring moderate structural capacity.

It is often selected for parking lots, roadways, perimeter lighting, and utility runs where a 25 foot mounting height above grade is needed. The direct burial design eliminates the need for anchor base or foundation hardware.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The CCA pressure treatment provides resistance to termites, decay, and rot, supporting long-term use in outdoor and in-ground environments. The pole's Class 4 rating and ANSI O5.1 compliance define its structural capacity and dimensional standards.

With a 25 foot above-grade height, this pole supports mounting of luminaires, distribution equipment, or other hardware at a practical working height for most site lighting and utility applications. The 5 foot burial depth is intended for stability and load transfer in direct burial installations.

The weight range of 430 to 505 pounds should be considered for handling, transport, and installation planning. Circumference and diameter measurements at the top and 6 feet from the butt provide reference for bracket, arm, or hardware compatibility.

Installation and Long-Term Use

This pole is designed for direct burial installation, with 5 feet below grade and 25 feet above grade. No anchor base or foundation is required. Proper excavation and backfill are necessary to ensure stability and alignment.

The CCA treatment supports long-term durability in contact with soil and exposure to outdoor conditions. Routine inspection for physical damage or environmental wear is recommended as part of ongoing maintenance.

Due to the pole's weight and length, mechanical lifting equipment is typically required for safe handling and placement. All mounting hardware and accessories should be selected to match the pole's dimensions and material.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

After installation, this 30 foot wood pole is used to support area lighting fixtures, utility lines, or site infrastructure at a 25 foot mounting height. The direct burial design means there is no exposed base hardware at grade level.

The CCA treatment allows the pole to remain in contact with soil and withstand outdoor exposure without rapid deterioration from insects or moisture. You can attach brackets, arms, or crossarms to the pole using standard wood pole hardware.

In day-to-day operation, the pole provides a stable mounting point for lighting or utility equipment. Maintenance typically involves periodic inspection of the pole surface, hardware connections, and attached equipment.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
