Where This Product Fits Best

This 30 foot Class 3 Southern Yellow Pine pole is suited for outdoor lighting, utility distribution, and area lighting in commercial and industrial environments. Typical applications include parking lots, roadways, sports fields, and perimeter lighting where a 25 foot mounting height is needed.

The direct burial design is intended for permanent installations where concrete or anchor base mounting is not required. The CCA treatment allows use in environments where resistance to decay and insect damage is necessary.

This pole is appropriate for projects requiring ANSI O5.1 Class 3 compliance. It is commonly used to support LED area lights, flood lights, or utility lines in exterior settings.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The CCA treatment protects the Southern Yellow Pine against rot and insect activity, supporting long-term structural integrity in outdoor installations. The Class 3 rating defines the pole's strength and load capacity for mounting fixtures and accessories.

With a total height of 30 feet and 25 feet above grade, this pole provides a standard mounting elevation for area lighting and utility distribution. The minimum top and butt diameters ensure compatibility with standard mounting hardware and cross arms.

The pole's weight and dimensions require appropriate equipment for handling and installation. Direct burial installation requires excavation to a depth of 5 feet below grade.

Installation and Long-Term Use

This pole is designed for direct burial installation. Excavation to a depth of 5 feet is required to achieve the specified 25 feet above grade. The pole's weight and length require mechanical lifting equipment for safe handling and placement.

CCA treatment extends the service life of the pole in outdoor environments. Routine inspection for physical damage and ground line condition is recommended as part of long-term maintenance.

Cross arms can be added as needed for fixture or line mounting. Selection of cross arm length and configuration should be based on the specific lighting or utility layout.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

Once installed, this 30 foot wood pole provides a stable mounting point for LED area lights, flood lights, or utility lines. The 25 foot above grade height supports wide-area illumination and utility distribution in commercial and industrial sites.

Facility teams typically use the pole to elevate lighting fixtures above traffic, equipment, or activity zones. The treated wood construction allows the pole to remain in service with minimal maintenance aside from periodic inspection.

Cross arms, when used, are attached to support multiple fixtures or lines. The pole's dimensions and strength accommodate standard mounting hardware and accessories used in exterior lighting and utility applications.
