Our 30 foot Class 1 CCA Treated Southern Yellow Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. 30 ft utility poles are treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent decay and damage from insects.

Our 30 foot wood poles are the perfect length for tennis courts and parking lots outside stores. You can add 2 light arms per side, 4 in total. Each arm can accommodate 240 lbs per arm. One of the benefits of wood poles includes a long life span.

Options Available:

Cross Arms (4 per pole, 2 per side) and Mounting Brackets. Customer is responsible for mounting Crossarm after poles are delivered. Poles do not ship with cross arms attached.

These are the lights we typically mount on the crossarms. Up to 6 lights per arm, not to exceed 240 total pounds of fixtures and hardware.

Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a forklift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload ? customer supplied. Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at the time of delivery.

Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days to your delivery location.

Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. CCA treatment generally will result in the poles being free of insects for decades to come.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1 year-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview

This 30-foot Class 1 wood pole is manufactured from Southern Yellow Pine and treated with CCA (Chromated Copper Arsenate) to resist decay and insect damage. The pole is built to ANSI O5.1 specification and meets current American Wood Preservers Association treatment standards. Total pole weight ranges from 1,000 to 1,200 pounds.

The pole provides 25 feet of usable height above grade with a 5-foot direct burial depth. Minimum circumference at the top measures 27 inches (8.594-inch diameter), tapering to a minimum of 36.5 inches (11.618-inch diameter) at 6 feet from the butt. This Class 1 rating indicates a heavier, stronger pole within the ANSI classification system.

Cross arms and mounting brackets are available separately. Poles ship without cross arms attached. Cross arm installation is the responsibility of the end user or installer after delivery.

Where This Product Fits Best

This pole height and load capacity align with outdoor lighting applications such as tennis courts, parking lots, and similar commercial or recreational areas. The 25-foot above-grade height places fixtures at an elevation suited to area lighting where moderate mounting heights are needed.

The CCA treatment makes this pole appropriate for direct burial installations in ground contact conditions. Southern Yellow Pine accepts preservative treatment effectively, which contributes to its use in outdoor utility and lighting applications where long-term ground contact is expected.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The Class 1 ANSI rating defines the pole''s structural capacity relative to load and environmental stress. This rating positions the pole for applications requiring greater strength than lighter ANSI classes while remaining within a 30-foot height profile.

The pole supports up to 4 cross arms total, with a maximum of 3 cross arms permitted on any single side. Each cross arm can carry up to 240 pounds of attached weight, including fixtures and mounting hardware. Fixture count per arm is limited by this weight threshold rather than a fixed number.

Dimensional minimums at the top and base provide reference points for hardware compatibility. Installers should confirm cross arm and bracket sizing against the stated minimum circumference and diameter values.

Installation and Long-Term Use

This pole is designed for direct burial installation at a 5-foot depth. No concrete base or anchor cage is required under standard conditions, though soil type and local code requirements may affect installation methods. Equipment capable of handling 1,000 to 1,200 pounds is necessary for transport and placement.

Cross arms must be installed after delivery. The pole ships without cross arms attached. Mounting brackets and cross arms are available as separate components. Field installation allows positioning cross arms at heights suited to the specific application and fixture layout.

CCA-treated Southern Yellow Pine is established in utility and lighting pole applications for its resistance to biological degradation in ground contact. Routine inspection of above-grade surfaces and hardware connections supports long-term structural performance.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

Facilities typically use this pole to support area lighting in spaces where a 25-foot mounting height provides adequate coverage without requiring taller steel or concrete structures. Tennis courts and retail parking lots are common examples where this pole height and cross arm capacity are well matched to the lighting layout.

The 4-cross-arm maximum with up to 240 pounds per arm allows installers to configure multi-fixture arrangements. Fixture selection and quantity per arm depend on individual fixture weight and the combined weight of mounting hardware. Installers calculate total attached weight to remain within the stated limit.

Wood poles in this class are often selected where a traditional appearance is acceptable or preferred, or where direct burial without a concrete foundation simplifies the installation scope.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification and treated to American Wood Preservers Association standards. These designations define the structural and treatment criteria applied during manufacturing.

LED Lighting Supply provides a 1-year warranty on this product.
