Our 25 foot Class 6 CCA Treated Southern Yellow Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. 25 ft utility poles are treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent decay and damage from insects.
Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a forklift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload - customer supplied. Customer is responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment available at the time of delivery.
Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days to your delivery location.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including Douglas fir and red pine. CCA treatment generally will result in the poles being free of insects for decades to come.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
We supply 25 foot Class 6 wood poles manufactured from Southern Yellow Pine, CCA treated for ground contact and long-term durability. These poles are designed for direct burial installation, with a total length of 25 feet and a standard 4.5 foot burial depth. Each pole meets ANSI O5.1 specifications and is produced to current American Wood Preservers Association standards. Typical pole weight ranges from 370 to 440 pounds, with minimum top and butt circumferences specified for structural consistency. This product is intended for use in outdoor environments where wood utility poles are required for lighting, utility distribution, or field infrastructure.
All poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. The CCA treatment protects against decay and insect damage, supporting reliable performance in exposed and buried conditions. The Class 6 rating defines the pole?s structural capacity and is suitable for lighter duty lighting and utility applications.
Where This Product Fits Best
This 25 foot Class 6 wood pole is suited for outdoor installations where moderate mounting heights are required for lighting, utility, or field infrastructure. It is commonly used in sports field lighting, rural roadway lighting, and municipal or agricultural property applications. The direct burial design and CCA treatment make it appropriate for environments with soil contact and exposure to weather.
- baseball field lighting
- softball field lighting
- sports field lighting
- area lighting
- rural roadway lighting
- agricultural property lighting
- parking lot lighting
- utility distribution
Environmental characteristics include outdoor exposure, direct soil contact, and variable weather conditions. The pole is suitable for locations where wood construction is preferred or required, and where moderate structural loads are anticipated.
Performance and Functional Considerations
The 25 foot height provides a mounting point approximately 20.5 feet above grade after burial, supporting typical area and field lighting requirements. The Class 6 structural rating is intended for lighter duty applications, such as single or double fixture mounting, small area lighting, or secondary utility lines. Minimum top and butt dimensions ensure consistent load capacity and compatibility with standard hardware.
CCA treatment extends service life by protecting against rot and insect activity. Southern Yellow Pine offers a balance of strength and workability for field modifications or hardware attachment. The pole?s weight and dimensions should be considered for handling, transport, and installation planning.
Direct burial installation eliminates the need for anchor bases or concrete foundations, but requires proper backfill and compaction for long-term stability. The pole is not intended for high wind or heavy load applications beyond its Class 6 rating.
Routine inspection and maintenance are recommended to monitor for mechanical damage, decay at ground line, or hardware corrosion over time.
Installation and Long-Term Use
Installation is by direct burial, with a standard 4.5 foot embedment below grade. Proper excavation, backfill, and compaction are required to achieve design stability. The pole?s weight (370?440 lbs) typically requires mechanical handling equipment for safe placement.
Hardware attachment points should be pre-drilled to minimize splitting. CCA treatment allows for ground contact, but field cuts or holes should be treated with an approved wood preservative to maintain protection. Standard pole line hardware and lighting brackets are compatible with the specified top and butt dimensions.
Long-term use depends on site conditions, soil drainage, and exposure. Periodic inspection at the ground line is recommended to identify early signs of decay or insect activity. The pole?s service life is influenced by installation quality and ongoing maintenance practices.
Replacement or removal at end of life requires standard pole extraction methods. Disposal must comply with local regulations for treated wood products.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
This 25 foot wood pole is commonly installed for mounting sports field lighting fixtures at baseball and softball fields, as well as general sports field and area lighting. It is also used for rural roadway lighting, agricultural property illumination, and parking lot lighting where moderate mounting heights are sufficient. Municipalities and utilities use this pole for secondary distribution lines and small-scale lighting projects.
In agricultural and recreational environments, the pole supports floodlights, area lights, or utility lines. For parking lots and rural roads, it provides a cost-effective mounting solution where steel or concrete poles are not required. The direct burial design is preferred in locations without existing foundations or where rapid installation is needed.
Common hardware includes crossarms, lighting brackets, and utility line attachments. The pole?s dimensions accommodate standard mounting hardware for field lighting and area illumination.
End users include sports facility operators, municipal maintenance teams, agricultural property managers, and utility crews responsible for outdoor lighting and distribution infrastructure.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 standards and treated to American Wood Preservers Association requirements. CCA treatment provides resistance to decay and insect damage for ground contact installations. The product is classified as Class 6 for structural performance.
Standard safety practices apply during handling and installation, including use of lifting equipment and personal protective equipment. Field modifications should be performed with appropriate tools and preservative treatments.
The pole includes a 1 year warranty covering material and manufacturing defects. Warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, overloading, or site-specific environmental factors.
Compliance with local codes and regulations for treated wood and utility pole installation is required. Refer to project specifications for additional certification or documentation needs.

Application Questions and Clarification
This 25 foot Class 6 wood pole is intended for moderate height lighting and utility distribution in outdoor environments. It is not designed for high wind or heavy load applications beyond its Class 6 rating. For installations requiring higher structural capacity or taller mounting heights, select a higher class or longer pole as specified by project requirements.
Common applications include sports field lighting (baseball, softball, general sports fields), area and parking lot lighting, rural roadway lighting, agricultural property illumination, municipal lighting, and utility distribution. The pole is not intended for coastal, corrosive, or marine environments where fiberglass or steel poles may be more appropriate.
Direct burial installation is required. Ensure site conditions allow for proper embedment and drainage. Field modifications should be treated to maintain CCA protection. For questions about compatibility with specific lighting fixtures or hardware, reference the pole?s top and butt dimensions and consult with the fixture manufacturer as needed.
If clarification is needed regarding application suitability, structural loading, or installation practices, contact a qualified engineer or refer to local codes and standards for wood utility pole installations.
