Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including Douglas fir and red pine. CCA treatment generally will result in the poles being free of insects for decades to come.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
The 25 Foot Wood Pole, Class 4, is crafted from Southern Yellow Pine and treated with CCA to ensure durability and longevity. Designed for utility and light pole applications, this pole is suitable for mounting lighting fixtures, flood lights, or security cameras. With a total height of 25 feet and a height above grade of 20.5 feet, it is ideal for various outdoor installations.
This pole is manufactured to meet ANSI O5.1 specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Its direct burial installation method simplifies the setup process, making it a practical choice for both new installations and replacements. The wood is treated to prevent decay and insect damage, providing a reliable solution for long-term use.
Core Performance and Output
The structural capacity of this 25-foot wood pole is defined by its Class 4 rating, which indicates its ability to support moderate loads. The pole's EPA (Effective Projected Area) and wind load performance are suitable for typical lighting and utility applications. With a pole weight ranging from 510 to 600 lbs, it offers a balance between strength and ease of handling during installation.
The Southern Yellow Pine material provides natural flexibility under load, which is beneficial in areas with high wind conditions. The CCA treatment enhances the pole's resistance to environmental factors, ensuring it remains structurally sound over time. It is important to consider the pole's height and load capacity when planning installations to avoid excessive stress on the structure.
Adjustability and Control Options
This wood pole does not include integrated adjustability or control options. Its primary function is to provide a stable and reliable mounting solution for lighting and utility equipment. Any adjustability or control features would need to be incorporated into the mounted fixtures or equipment.
For installations requiring specific lighting angles or control, consider using adjustable brackets or mounts compatible with the pole. This allows for flexibility in directing light or positioning equipment as needed.
Longevity and Reliability
The 25 Foot Wood Pole is designed for long-term reliability, with CCA treatment ensuring resistance to decay and insect damage. The Southern Yellow Pine material is known for its strength and durability, making it a suitable choice for outdoor applications.
Regular inspections and maintenance, such as checking for signs of wear or damage, can help extend the pole's lifespan. The pole's compliance with ANSI O5.1 standards further assures its reliability in various environmental conditions.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
This pole is constructed from high-quality Southern Yellow Pine, known for its robust physical properties. The CCA treatment process enhances its resistance to environmental factors, ensuring it remains durable over time. The pole's dimensions, including a minimum top circumference of 21 inches and a minimum circumference of 27.5 inches six feet from the butt, provide a stable foundation for mounting equipment.
The direct burial installation method simplifies the setup process, requiring a buried depth of 4.5 feet. This ensures stability and reduces the risk of movement or shifting over time. The pole's natural wood finish offers an aesthetically pleasing appearance, blending well with various outdoor environments.
Where This Product Fits Best
This wood pole is best suited for environments where moderate load-bearing capacity is required, such as sports fields and rural roadways. Its natural wood finish and durability make it an ideal choice for outdoor settings.
- baseball field lighting
- softball field lighting
- soccer field lighting
- football field lighting
- sports field lighting
- rural roadway lighting
- agricultural property lighting
The pole's CCA treatment ensures it can withstand various weather conditions, making it suitable for both urban and rural installations. Its compliance with ANSI standards guarantees its performance in diverse environments.
Installation and Long-Term Use
Installation of this wood pole involves direct burial, requiring a hole depth of 4.5 feet to ensure stability. The pole's weight and dimensions should be considered during installation to ensure proper handling and placement. It is recommended to use appropriate equipment and techniques to safely position the pole.
For long-term use, regular inspections are advised to check for signs of wear or damage. The CCA treatment provides protection against decay and insects, but monitoring the pole's condition can help identify any potential issues early. Proper maintenance will ensure the pole remains a reliable support structure for mounted equipment.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
This wood pole is commonly used in outdoor sports fields and rural roadways, where its height and load capacity are well-suited for lighting and utility applications. Typical mounting heights are around 20.5 feet above grade, providing adequate coverage for large areas.
Spacing between poles may vary based on the specific lighting requirements and the type of fixtures being mounted. Higher output fixtures may reduce the number of poles needed but could increase glare if not properly managed. Consideration of the pole's load capacity and environmental conditions is essential for optimal performance.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This wood pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards for safety and performance. The CCA treatment provides additional protection against environmental factors, enhancing the pole's durability and reliability.
A 1-year warranty is included, covering any manufacturing defects or issues arising from normal use. It is important to follow installation guidelines and maintenance recommendations to ensure the pole's longevity and performance.
