Our CCA Treated 25 Foot Wood Pole Class 5 Treated Ponderosa Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent damage from termites, decay and rot regardless of the species used.
Our 25 ft round wood poles are perfect for sports fields, baseball fields, and a utility pole project. You can add up to 2 light arms per pole. Each arm can accommodate 240 lbs per arm. Number of arms and lights depends on the class of pole you select. The class will determine the diameter at the base. Availability can change based on the quantity and length required as different sizes can have different lead times. Our poles are built with durability in mind to ensure long-lasting performance.
Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload - customer supplied. Customers are responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment or area to store poles available at the time of delivery. Please contact a sales representative prior to purchasing to ensure all the project details are clear.
Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1 year-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
This is a 25-foot Class 4 wood utility pole made from Ponderosa Pine, pressure treated with CCA preservative. The pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification and treated to American Wood Preservers Association standards for resistance to termites, decay, and rot.
Total pole height is 25 feet, with 20.5 feet above grade and 4.5 feet buried below grade. The pole weighs between 400 and 500 pounds. Minimum circumference at the pole top is 21 inches (6.7-inch diameter), and minimum circumference 6 feet from the butt is 30 inches (9.5-inch diameter).
This pole supports up to 2 cross arms total, with a maximum of 1 cross arm per side. Each cross arm can hold up to 240 pounds of attached weight including fixtures and hardware.
Where This Product Fits Best
This pole is commonly used at sports fields, baseball fields, and utility pole applications where a 20.5-foot above-grade mounting height is appropriate. The Class 4 rating and cross arm capacity make it suitable for sites requiring moderate fixture loads at relatively low mounting heights.
Direct burial installation is the intended method. Sites must accommodate a 4.5-foot burial depth and the equipment necessary to handle and set a 400 to 500 pound pole.
Performance and Functional Considerations
The Class 4 ANSI rating defines the structural capacity of this pole. The taper from base to top, with the 9.5-inch minimum diameter at the lower section and 6.7-inch minimum diameter at the top, determines what can be mounted and at what height.
Each cross arm supports up to 240 pounds total, which includes the combined weight of fixtures, brackets, and mounting hardware. Up to 6 light fixtures can be mounted per arm, provided total weight does not exceed 240 pounds.
CCA treatment provides long-term protection against termites, decay, and rot. This treatment is applied under pressure to penetrate the wood according to American Wood Preservers Association standards.
Installation and Long-Term Use
This pole is designed for direct burial installation with 4.5 feet below grade. Handling and setting requires appropriate lifting equipment due to the 400 to 500 pound weight.
Cross arms are not attached to the pole at the time of delivery. The customer is responsible for mounting cross arms after poles arrive on site. Mounting brackets are available as separate options.
The pole is grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. Lead times may vary based on quantity and length requirements, as different sizes can have different availability.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
Facility operators typically use this pole where they need above-grade height around 20 feet with the ability to mount lighting on cross arms. Sports field applications often position fixtures on cross arms to illuminate playing surfaces, with up to 6 fixtures per arm as long as the 240-pound limit per arm is respected.
Cross arm configuration is handled on site after delivery. Operators decide how to distribute fixtures across the available arms based on their lighting layout and the weight of the specific fixtures being installed. The 1-arm-per-side limit means fixture positioning is balanced on opposite sides of the pole.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Treatment is performed to American Wood Preservers Association standards.
Warranty coverage is 1 year.
