Our CCA Treated 25 Foot Wood Pole Class 4 Treated Ponderosa Pine Poles are grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. They are manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specification. Poles are pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards to prevent damage from termites, decay and rot regardless of the species used.
Delivery is made with a flatbed truck and the customer is responsible for offloading. Offloading requires a fork lift or appropriate similar vehicle to offload – customer supplied. Customers are responsible for any costs associated with delivery rescheduling because of improper scheduling or not having the proper offloading equipment or area to store poles available at the time of delivery. Please contact a sales representative prior to purchasing to ensure all the project details are clear.
Pricing: Does not include cost of shipping. Shipping is available to the lower 48 USA states. We can supply a budgetary shipping quote or a firm shipping quote that is good for 14 days.
Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.
Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
The 25 Foot Wood Pole, Class 4, is crafted from Ponderosa Pine and is designed for use in light pole and utility pole applications. This pole is treated with Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA) to enhance its durability against environmental factors such as termites, decay, and rot. With a total height of 25 feet and a direct burial installation method, it is suitable for various outdoor settings.
This pole is ANSI O5.1 compliant, ensuring it meets industry standards for utility poles. It is particularly suited for environments where a natural wood aesthetic is desired, such as rural roadways or agricultural properties. The pole's weight ranges from 400 to 500 pounds, making it manageable for installation teams familiar with wood pole handling.
Core Performance and Output
The structural capacity of this 25-foot wood pole is defined by its Class 4 rating, which indicates its suitability for supporting moderate loads. The pole's environmental performance is enhanced by its CCA treatment, providing resistance to decay and insect damage. The pole's minimum top circumference is 21 inches, with a minimum circumference of 30 inches six feet from the butt, ensuring stability and strength.
With a height above grade of 20.5 feet, this pole is designed for direct burial, with 4.5 feet of the pole buried below grade. This installation method provides stability and is commonly used in utility and lighting applications. The pole's performance is optimal in environments where wind loads are moderate, and it is not recommended for areas with extreme wind conditions without additional support considerations.
Adjustability and Control Options
This wood pole does not feature adjustability or control options as it is a fixed structure designed for permanent installation. Its primary function is to provide a stable and reliable support structure for lighting fixtures or utility lines. The pole's design focuses on durability and environmental resistance rather than adjustability.
For installations requiring specific height adjustments or control features, alternative pole materials or designs may be more suitable. This pole is intended for straightforward applications where fixed height and position are adequate.
Longevity and Reliability
The longevity of this wood pole is supported by its CCA treatment, which protects against environmental degradation. The Ponderosa Pine material is selected for its natural resilience and strength, contributing to the pole's reliability over time. The pole is manufactured to meet ANSI O5.1 specifications, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
While the pole is designed for long-term use, regular inspections are recommended to assess its condition, particularly in environments with high moisture or insect activity. The one-year warranty provides initial assurance of quality, though the pole's lifespan typically extends well beyond this period with proper maintenance.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
This wood pole is constructed from Ponderosa Pine, known for its strength and durability. The pole's physical characteristics include a minimum top outer diameter of 6.7 inches and a diameter of 9.5 inches six feet from the butt. These dimensions ensure the pole's stability and load-bearing capacity.
The pole's CCA treatment enhances its resistance to decay and insect damage, making it suitable for outdoor installations. The pole's weight, ranging from 400 to 500 pounds, requires careful handling during installation but provides the necessary mass for stability once installed.
Where This Product Fits Best
This 25-foot wood pole is ideal for environments where natural aesthetics and moderate structural support are required. It is commonly used in rural and agricultural settings, as well as for utility distribution in less urbanized areas.
- baseball field lighting
- softball field lighting
- soccer field lighting
- football field lighting
- sports field lighting
- rural roadway lighting
- agricultural property lighting
- utility distribution
The pole's environmental characteristics include resistance to decay and insect damage, making it suitable for outdoor installations in various climates. Its direct burial installation method provides stability in soil conditions typical of rural and agricultural environments.
Installation and Long-Term Use
Installation of this wood pole involves direct burial, with 4.5 feet of the pole placed below grade to ensure stability. The pole's weight requires appropriate equipment and handling techniques during installation. It is important to ensure the pole is installed in a location with suitable soil conditions to support its weight and height.
For long-term use, regular inspections are recommended to monitor the pole's condition, particularly in environments with high moisture or insect activity. While the pole is treated for durability, environmental factors can affect its lifespan, and maintenance may be required to address any emerging issues.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
This wood pole is commonly used in outdoor settings where a natural aesthetic is desired, such as sports fields and rural roadways. Typical mounting heights are around 20.5 feet above grade, providing adequate elevation for lighting or utility applications.
Spacing and layout patterns depend on the specific application, with poles often placed at intervals that ensure adequate coverage and support. In sports field applications, poles are typically spaced to provide even lighting distribution across the playing area. The pole's fixed height and direct burial method make it a straightforward choice for installations where adjustability is not required.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This wood pole is ANSI O5.1 compliant, ensuring it meets industry standards for utility poles. The CCA treatment provides additional safety by protecting the pole from decay and insect damage, contributing to its structural integrity over time.
The pole comes with a one-year warranty, providing initial assurance of quality and performance. While the warranty covers manufacturing defects, the pole's longevity is typically much longer with proper installation and maintenance.
