Its direct burial design simplifies installation by eliminating the need for anchor bases, making it well-suited for parking lots, roadways, perimeter, and general area lighting at commercial or industrial sites where a 20.5 foot mounting height is required. Routine inspection is recommended to maintain performance over time.

Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the pole), installation costs, or foundation design of light poles. Dimensions and specifications of poles are subject to change without notice but the pole top and butt dimensions will always be within ANSI specifications. Wood poles are the ideal option for most field projects as concrete poles require more frequent maintenance and replacement.

Please be advised that our wood poles are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview

This 25-foot wood pole is a Class 4 Ponderosa pine pole for direct-burial structural installations. It has a total length of 25 feet, with 20.5 feet above grade and 4.5 feet below grade.

The pole is CCA treated and manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specifications. It is used where a wood pole structure is required for sports field lighting, utility distribution, and rural roadway lighting.

Core Performance and Output

This pole provides 20.5 feet of installed height above grade when buried to the specified 4.5-foot depth. The Class 4 designation defines the pole classification, while the supplied data does not establish fixture weight, EPA, wind-load, or attachment capacity.

The pole weighs approximately 400 to 500 pounds. Minimum dimensions include a 6.7-inch top outside diameter and a 9.5-inch outside diameter measured 6 feet from the butt.

Adjustability and Control Options

This is a fixed direct-burial pole with no height adjustment after installation. Above-grade height is determined by the 4.5-foot burial depth.

No lighting controls, electrical components, crossarms, brackets, or fixture mounting hardware are included in the supplied product data. Attachment requirements must be established for the planned installation.

Longevity and Reliability

The Ponderosa pine pole is pressure treated with CCA preservative treatment. The treatment is intended to prevent damage from termites, decay, and rot.

The pole is treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards stated in the supplied data. Warranty coverage is 1 year.

Build Quality and Physical Characteristics

This pole is grown, debarked, and treated in the United States. It is manufactured from Ponderosa pine and complies with ANSI O5.1.

Minimum circumference is 21 inches at the pole top and 30 inches at 6 feet from the butt. These dimensions are minimum values and should be considered when planning attachments and handling.

Where This Product Fits Best

This wood pole fits direct-burial installations requiring a 20.5-foot above-grade pole height. The supplied application data aligns it with sports field lighting, utility distribution, and rural roadway lighting.

  • sports field lighting
  • baseball field lighting
  • softball field lighting
  • rural roadway lighting
  • agricultural property lighting
  • utility distribution

CCA treatment supports outdoor ground-contact installation conditions associated with direct burial. Final pole selection must account for the required structural loading because fixture support and wind-load values are not supplied.

Installation and Long-Term Use

Install this pole by direct burial with 4.5 feet below grade to achieve the stated 20.5-foot installed height above grade. The 400 to 500 pound pole weight affects unloading, handling, lifting, and placement planning.

Set depth, soil conditions, attachment loads, and local installation requirements need review before installation. The supplied data does not establish foundation alternatives or attachment hardware requirements.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

For sports field lighting, baseball field lighting, softball field lighting, rural roadway lighting, and agricultural property lighting, the installed pole height is 20.5 feet above grade. Utility distribution installations use the same direct-burial pole configuration.

Pole locations follow the required lighting or utility layout and attachment requirements. Layout spacing varies with the equipment attached to the pole and the required project design; a specific spacing value is not established by the supplied data.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This pole is manufactured to ANSI O5.1 specifications. It is pressure treated and preservative treated to the latest American Wood Preservers Association standards stated in the supplied data.

The pole includes a 1-year warranty. Direct-burial installation depth is 4.5 feet.
