Product Overview

This 25 Foot Square Fiberglass Light Pole is designed for outdoor area and sports lighting applications where corrosion resistance, non-conductivity, and long-term durability are required. The pole features a 5-inch width, 0.25-inch wall thickness, and a fluoropolymer coating for UV and weather protection. Anchor base mounting allows for secure installation on concrete foundations, and a top cap is included. This pole is commonly specified for sports fields, coastal environments, and corrosive sites where steel or aluminum poles are not suitable.

Fiberglass construction provides a lightweight alternative to steel, reducing handling and installation effort. The pole is engineered to bend under wind load and return to its original shape, minimizing the risk of catastrophic failure. Typical mounting heights for this pole are 25 feet, supporting a range of area and sports lighting fixtures within EPA and weight limits.

Core Performance and Output

This pole supports fixtures with EPA ratings up to 21.4 at 70 mph, 14.8 at 80 mph, 10.2 at 90 mph, 6.5 at 100 mph, 3.8 at 110 mph, and 1.7 at 120 mph. The 0.25-inch wall thickness and fiberglass material provide high strength-to-weight ratio, with a total pole weight of 103 lbs. The pole is non-conductive and fire resistant, suitable for environments with electrical or fire risk concerns.

Structural performance is maintained in coastal and corrosive environments where steel poles may degrade. At higher wind zones (110?120 mph), fixture size and EPA must be carefully matched to avoid overstressing the pole. Excessive fixture weight or EPA above rated limits will compromise structural integrity.

Adjustability and Control Options

This pole is supplied with a top cap and is compatible with standard tenon or direct-mount fixtures. Tenons, anchor bolts, and base covers are available separately to match specific fixture mounting requirements. The anchor base design allows for precise alignment during installation and straightforward replacement if needed.

Fixture orientation and aiming are determined by the selected mounting hardware and fixture type. The pole itself does not include integrated control features or wiring provisions; these are managed at the fixture or site level.

Longevity and Reliability

The fiberglass construction resists rot, rust, and corrosion, even in coastal or chemical environments. The fluoropolymer coating provides 25-year UV protection, preventing surface degradation and color fading. The pole is engineered to flex under wind load and return to its original form, reducing the risk of breakage during severe weather events.

Fire resistance is inherent to the fiberglass material, as it does not sustain a flame. The pole does not break down with age and maintains structural integrity over decades of service. A 7-year warranty covers material and manufacturing defects.

Build Quality and Physical Characteristics

This pole is constructed from solid fiberglass with a 0.25-inch wall thickness and a 5-inch square profile. The base plate measures 10 11/16 x 10 11/16 inches, with a 9-inch bolt circle for anchor base mounting. The pole is available in bronze, black, white, gray, or custom colors to match site requirements.

The lightweight design (103 lbs) simplifies handling and installation. The non-conductive and fire-resistant properties make it suitable for sites with electrical safety or fire code considerations. The pole is supplied with a top cap; anchor bolts, base covers, and tenons are specified separately.

Where This Product Fits Best

This fiberglass light pole is suited for outdoor sports fields, corrosive environments, and coastal sites where non-metallic construction is required. It is commonly used in locations where steel or aluminum poles are prone to corrosion or electrical conductivity is a concern.

  • baseball field lighting
  • football field lighting
  • sports field lighting
  • driving range lighting
  • coastal lighting
  • corrosive environment lighting
  • marina lighting
  • wastewater facility lighting

The pole is designed for outdoor use in environments with high humidity, salt exposure, or chemical presence. It is suitable for both inland and coastal installations, including sports complexes, marinas, and wastewater treatment facilities.

Installation and Long-Term Use

Anchor base installation requires a concrete foundation with a 9-inch bolt circle. The lightweight fiberglass construction allows for manual handling and reduces the need for heavy equipment during placement. The pole is compatible with standard area and sports lighting fixtures within EPA and weight limits.

Routine inspection is limited to visual checks for surface damage or impact. The fluoropolymer coating minimizes maintenance requirements and prevents UV degradation. Replacement of the pole is straightforward if required, as the anchor base allows for removal without disturbing the foundation.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

This pole is typically installed at 25-foot mounting heights for sports field and area lighting. Fixture selection and mounting hardware are matched to the pole?s EPA and weight ratings. Spacing between poles is determined by the lighting layout and required uniformity for the application.

In corrosive or coastal environments, fiberglass poles are preferred over steel to avoid rust and electrical conductivity issues. Higher EPA fixtures may require reduced pole spacing or lower mounting heights to stay within wind load limits. Selecting fixtures with appropriate EPA and weight is critical for long-term performance.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This fiberglass pole is non-conductive and fire resistant. It is supplied with a 7-year warranty covering material and manufacturing defects. The pole is designed to meet structural and safety requirements for outdoor area and sports lighting installations.

All EPA ratings are validated for wind speeds up to 120 mph. The pole is suitable for use in environments with electrical safety or fire code requirements. Color options allow for compliance with site-specific aesthetic or regulatory standards.
