Product Overview

This is a 20 foot above grade square fiberglass light pole with a 4 inch width, designed for direct burial installation. The total pole length is 25 feet, with 5 feet intended for burial below grade and 20 feet exposed above ground.

The pole is constructed from fiberglass and weighs 68 pounds. It features a .205 inch wall thickness and is finished with a fluoropolymer coating for long-term durability. A top cap is included.

Color options include bronze, black, white, gray, and custom selections. The pole is rated for high wind zones, supporting EPA values up to 1.4 at 130 mph. The product carries a 7-year warranty.

Where This Product Fits Best

This fiberglass light pole is suited for commercial and industrial sites requiring a 20 foot mounting height above grade. It is appropriate for locations where direct burial installation is preferred over anchor base mounting.

The high wind zone rating supports use in areas subject to elevated wind loads, including coastal, open, or exposed environments. The non-conductive and corrosion-resistant properties make it suitable for installations where steel or aluminum poles may be at risk of rust or electrical conductivity concerns.

Common applications include parking lots, perimeter lighting, walkways, and facility exteriors where a lightweight, durable, and low-maintenance pole is required.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The fiberglass construction provides resistance to rot, rust, and corrosion, supporting long-term use in wet or chemically aggressive environments. The pole is non-conductive, reducing risk in areas with electrical exposure.

The .205 inch wall thickness and engineered design allow the pole to bend under wind load and return to its original form, rather than breaking. The pole is rated for wind speeds up to 130 mph, with EPA values provided for each wind speed increment.

The fluoropolymer coating and 25-year UV protective paint help prevent surface degradation and color fading. The pole does not sustain a flame and will not act as a fuel source in fire conditions.

Installation and Long-Term Use

This pole is designed for direct burial installation, with 5 feet of the pole set below grade. The lightweight 68 pound design allows for easier handling, unloading, and positioning compared to steel poles of similar size.

The included top cap provides a finished appearance and helps prevent water ingress. The pole's non-corrosive properties reduce long-term maintenance requirements, especially in environments with moisture or de-icing chemicals.

Color selection can be matched to site requirements or architectural preferences. The pole is intended for use with compatible lighting fixtures and mounting hardware as specified for 4 inch square poles.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

After installation, the fiberglass pole provides a stable mounting point for area, roadway, or site lighting fixtures. The 20 foot above grade height supports typical outdoor lighting applications where elevated mounting is needed for coverage and uniformity.

The pole's ability to flex under wind load and return to shape helps maintain fixture alignment and reduces the risk of structural failure during storms. The non-conductive material is relied on in locations where electrical isolation is a concern.

Facility teams interact with the pole primarily for fixture maintenance or replacement. The UV-resistant finish and corrosion-proof construction minimize the need for repainting or surface treatment over time.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This pole is EPA certified for wind load ratings up to 130 mph, with specific EPA values listed for each wind speed increment.

The product carries a 7-year warranty from LED Lighting Supply.

The pole is non-conductive and does not sustain a flame, supporting safety in electrical and fire risk environments.
