Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading of light fixtures or other attachments, use, or foundation design of light poles. We are solely a supplier of lighting solutions, metal halide replacement lights, and poles for parking lots. Final pole assembly is the responsibility of the purchaser. Dimensions and specifications of a round or square composite light pole are subject to change without notice. See the data sheet for current pole data charts. Custom sizing is only available for large order quantities. Pole caps are used in place of other mounting options when necessary.

Please be advised that our composite poles are covered solely by a 7-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, such as welds and structural integrity, for one year from the date of purchase. Product Overview

This is a 25-foot fiberglass light pole designed for direct burial installation, with 20 feet of height above grade and 5 feet buried below grade. The pole has a 4-inch square profile with a wall thickness of .205 inches and weighs 68 pounds. A fluoropolymer coating protects the exterior surface.

The pole is available in Bronze, Black, White, Gray, or custom colors. A top cap is included. This pole is engineered for high wind zone applications, with published EPA ratings from 70 mph through 130 mph wind speeds.

Where This Product Fits Best

This pole is appropriate for parking areas, pathways, building perimeters, and other outdoor locations where a 20-foot above-grade mounting height meets the site lighting plan. The direct burial installation method eliminates the need for a separate anchor base or bolt pattern, which suits applications where concrete foundation work is either impractical or unnecessary.

The fiberglass construction suits coastal areas, chemical exposure environments, or any site where steel corrosion is a concern. Because fiberglass is non-conductive, this pole is also used in locations where electrical isolation from the ground is required or preferred.

Performance and Functional Considerations

EPA ratings determine how much fixture area the pole can support at a given wind speed. At 90 mph, this pole supports fixtures with a combined EPA of 7.4. At 110 mph, that drops to 3.5. At 130 mph, the supported EPA is 1.4. These values must be matched against the EPA of the intended fixture and any attached arms or accessories.

Fiberglass is designed to flex under wind load and return to its original position rather than deform permanently or fracture. This characteristic is relevant in regions that experience sustained high winds or frequent storm events.

The fluoropolymer coating provides long-term UV resistance. The material itself does not rust, rot, or corrode, which eliminates the surface degradation patterns common to steel or aluminum poles in harsh environments.

Installation and Long-Term Use

Direct burial installation requires excavating to a depth that accommodates the 5-foot below-grade section. The pole is set into the hole and backfilled according to soil and structural requirements at the site. No anchor bolts, base covers, or leveling hardware are involved.

At 68 pounds, this pole is substantially lighter than steel equivalents and can typically be handled and set by a smaller crew without mechanical lifting equipment. The weight reduction also simplifies transport and staging on site.

Fiberglass does not sustain flame because the material lacks a fuel source. This is a consideration in wildfire-prone areas or industrial environments with combustible material exposure.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

Facility operators typically select this pole for sites where steel corrosion has caused premature pole failure or where local wind zone requirements demand a pole with verified high-wind EPA capacity. The published EPA values at each wind speed allow direct comparison against fixture specifications during layout planning.

The non-conductive property of fiberglass is relied upon in utility-adjacent installations, substations, or facilities where grounding behavior must be controlled. Maintenance over time is minimal because the pole surface does not require repainting or rust remediation.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This pole carries a 7-year warranty from LED Lighting Supply.

The fiberglass construction is fire-resistant and non-conductive. The fluoropolymer finish is rated for 25 years of UV exposure resistance.
