We are solely a supplier of lighting solutions, metal halide replacement lights and poles for parking lots. Final pole assembly is the responsibility of the purchaser. Dimensions and specifications of a round or square composite light pole are subject to change without notice. See the data sheet for current pole data charts. Custom sizing is only available for large order quantities. Pole caps are used in place of other mounting options when necessary.

Please be advised that our composite poles are covered solely by a 7-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the poles are free from defects from the manufacturing process, such as welds and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview

This is a 15-foot above-grade square fiberglass light pole with a 4-inch width, designed for direct burial installation. The total pole length is 18.5 feet, with 3.5 feet buried below grade. The pole weighs 51 pounds and features a fluoropolymer coating finish.

The fiberglass construction is non-conductive and does not rot, rust, or corrode. The pole is coated with UV protective paint rated for 25 years. A top cap is included with the pole.

Available pole colors include bronze, black, white, gray, and custom options. Wall thickness is .205 inches.

Where This Product Fits Best

This pole is engineered for high wind zone applications. EPA ratings are provided across a full wind speed range from 70 mph through 160 mph, making it suitable for coastal areas, hurricane zones, and other locations where wind load calculations are critical to site design.

The direct burial installation method eliminates the need for anchor bolt foundations. This approach is common in parking lots, pathways, and perimeter lighting applications where soil conditions support burial and where foundation costs or site constraints make anchor base poles impractical.

Fiberglass construction makes this pole appropriate for corrosive environments where steel poles would degrade over time, including coastal sites, chemical facilities, and areas with high salt exposure.

Performance and Functional Considerations

The pole is rated for wind loads across multiple speed thresholds. At 70 mph, the EPA rating is 23.4. At 110 mph, the rating drops to 7.5. At 160 mph, the EPA rating is 1.3. These values determine the maximum effective projected area of fixtures and arms that can be mounted at each wind speed.

Fiberglass is stronger than equivalent steel in compression and tension. The material is designed to bend under wind load rather than break, returning to its original form after the load is removed. This flex behavior contributes to structural longevity in high wind conditions.

The pole does not sustain a flame as there is no internal fuel source for fire. This fire resistance characteristic may be relevant in applications where fire risk is a design consideration.

Installation and Long-Term Use

At 51 pounds, this pole is significantly lighter than steel equivalents of the same height. The reduced weight simplifies handling during delivery and positioning during installation, reducing crew requirements and equipment needs on site.

Direct burial installation requires excavating to the specified 3.5-foot depth and backfilling around the pole according to site soil conditions and local code requirements. No anchor bolts or concrete foundation forms are required, though backfill material and compaction practices affect stability.

The fluoropolymer coating and UV protective paint are rated for 25 years of exposure. The fiberglass material itself does not degrade with age, rot, rust, or corrode, which reduces long-term inspection and maintenance requirements compared to steel or aluminum poles in corrosive environments.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

Facilities use this pole to support area lighting in parking lots, walkways, building perimeters, and security lighting applications where a 15-foot mounting height is appropriate. The 4-inch square profile accepts standard fixture mounting hardware sized for that dimension.

The full wind speed EPA chart allows installers and specifiers to match fixture and arm combinations to site-specific wind zone requirements. In high wind zones, the lower EPA values at elevated wind speeds limit the size and quantity of fixtures that can be mounted while maintaining structural compliance.

The non-conductive property of fiberglass is relevant in applications where electrical isolation is preferred or required by site conditions. This characteristic may influence pole selection in industrial or utility-adjacent environments.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This pole is covered by a 7-year warranty.

The fiberglass material is non-conductive, fire resistant, and does not rot, rust, or corrode. The UV protective coating is rated for 25 years.
