Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the piling), installation costs, or foundation design of piling. Dimensions and specifications of pilings are subject to change without notice but the tip and butt dimensions will always be within ASTM specifications. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. All poles are treated with CCA unless specified otherwise. Our standard treatment is .60 pounds per cubic foot.
Please be advised that our wood pilings are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the pilings are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview
This is a 45 foot Class B wood piling manufactured from Southern Yellow Pine and treated with CCA at a retention level of .60 pounds per cubic foot. The piling is grown, debarked, and treated in the United States and manufactured to ASTM D25 standards.
Class B designation establishes the structural capacity and taper profile of the piling. At this length, the piling weighs between 1,715 and 2,020 pounds. Minimum tip circumference is 22 inches with a minimum tip diameter of 7 inches. Minimum circumference measured 3 feet from the butt is 37 inches, with a minimum diameter at that point of 12 inches.
Where This Product Fits Best
A 45 foot Class B piling is suited for marine, foundation, and structural applications where driven or embedded wood pilings are specified. Southern Yellow Pine accepts pressure treatment effectively and is a standard species for piling use in coastal, waterfront, and heavy civil construction.
The .60 CCA treatment level is the standard retention for this piling. Higher retention levels are available at .80, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.5 pounds per cubic foot for applications with more aggressive exposure or longer required service life.
Performance and Functional Considerations
CCA treatment protects against decay and insect damage in ground contact and submerged conditions. The .60 retention level is the baseline treatment for this piling, with optional higher retention levels available depending on site conditions and project requirements.
The Class B taper and dimensional profile follows ASTM D25 standards. The minimum tip and butt dimensions define the structural envelope of the piling and should be verified against project engineering requirements before specifying.
Installation and Long-Term Use
This piling weighs between 1,715 and 2,020 pounds and requires appropriate rigging, handling equipment, and driving equipment for installation. Site logistics should account for the 45 foot length and weight during delivery and staging.
Treatment is performed to American Wood Preservers Association standards. Long-term performance depends on site conditions, exposure type, and whether the selected treatment retention level is appropriate for the application environment.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
Once installed, this piling functions as a structural member supporting docks, piers, bulkheads, building foundations, or similar load-bearing applications. The treated wood resists biological degradation in soil and water contact over time.
If your project involves saltwater immersion, brackish environments, or high-decay-hazard soils, the optional higher CCA retention levels should be evaluated. The standard .60 treatment is appropriate for many conditions, but site-specific exposure determines the right retention for the application.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This piling is manufactured to ASTM D25 standards and treated to American Wood Preservers Association standards. It carries a 1 year warranty.
CCA-treated wood requires standard handling precautions. Consult applicable material safety guidance for cutting, drilling, and disposal requirements on your job site.
