Disclaimer: LED Lighting Supply is not responsible for improper loading (ie what is mounted to the piling), installation costs, or foundation design of piling. Dimensions and specifications of pilings are subject to change without notice but the tip and butt dimensions will always be within ASTM specifications. While our main product line is southern yellow pine, we at times are able to offer other species including douglas fir and red pine. All poles are treated with CCA unless specified otherwise. Our standard treatment is .60 pounds per cubic foot.

Please be advised that our wood pilings are covered solely by a 1-year workmanship warranty, which ensures that the pilings are free from defects from the manufacturing process, and structural integrity, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Product Overview

This 30 foot wood piling is an ANSI Class B Southern Yellow Pine piling treated with .60 CCA preservative treatment. It is intended for structural use in marine structures, dock structures, pier construction, and waterfront structures.

The piling is debarked and manufactured to ASTM D25 standards. Its treated wood construction is intended to address decay and damage in applicable structural installations.

Core Performance and Output

This piling provides a 30 foot total length with ANSI Class B construction. Minimum top diameter is 8 inches, with a minimum top circumference of 25 inches.

The minimum circumference measured 3 feet from the butt is 37 inches, with a 12 inch outside diameter at that location. Structural load capacity, wind performance, embedment depth, and fixture support limits are not established by the supplied product data.

Adjustability and Control Options

The standard treatment is .60 CCA. Optional treatment levels include .80 CCA, 1.0 CCA, 1.5 CCA, and 2.5 CCA.

This is a fixed-length wood piling. No field adjustability, controls, or mounting hardware details are provided.

Longevity and Reliability

The Southern Yellow Pine is treated to current American Wood Preservers Association standards. The treatment is intended to prevent decay and damage.

Long-term condition depends on the installed environment, treatment selection, installation method, and ongoing inspection practices. The supplied warranty period is one year.

Build Quality and Physical Characteristics

This piling is constructed from debarked Southern Yellow Pine. Unit weight is listed at 900 to 1,000 pounds.

The tapered wood profile includes an 8 inch minimum top outside diameter and a 12 inch outside diameter measured 3 feet from the butt. Handling equipment and site access need to account for the piling length and weight.

Where This Product Fits Best

This piling fits waterfront structural work where treated wood pilings are used as vertical support members. Its 30 foot length and Class B construction suit applications that require a substantial wood piling profile.

  • dock structures
  • pier construction
  • waterfront structures
  • marina construction
  • boardwalk structures

The .60 CCA treatment supports use in applicable marine and waterfront conditions. Final fit depends on project structural requirements and the required treatment retention level.

Installation and Long-Term Use

Installation requires handling equipment appropriate for a 30 foot piling weighing up to 1,000 pounds. The piling must remain protected from avoidable handling damage before placement.

Embedment depth, pile spacing, fastening methods, and structural layout are not provided in the product data. These items need to be established by the project design requirements.

How This Fixture Is Commonly Used

This piling is placed as a vertical structural member in selected dock structures, pier construction, waterfront structures, marina construction, and boardwalk structures. The 30 foot total height is the supplied piling length, not an installed elevation or embedment specification.

Layout commonly follows the structural alignment required by the project. Pile spacing and installed exposure vary with the design requirements, and no numerical layout values are established by the supplied data.

Safety, Certifications, and Warranty

This piling is manufactured to ASTM D25 standards. Treatment meets current American Wood Preservers Association standards.

The piling has ANSI Class B construction. Warranty coverage is one year.
