Product Overview
This 12-watt LED security wall pack provides 960 lumens at 5000K for wall-mounted exterior lighting. Its Type 5 distribution directs light outward from the mounting surface for broad perimeter coverage.
The fixture operates on 100-277V and includes a built-in photocell and emergency backup battery. It replaces a 70-watt metal halide fixture where lower output wall-mounted lighting is required.
Core Performance and Output
This wall pack produces 960 lumens at 80 lumens per watt. The 5000K color temperature and 70+ CRI provide a cool white exterior light level.
The Type 5 distribution provides a broad outward pattern from the wall. Output is intended for localized exterior coverage; fixture placement and mounting height affect uniformity between wall-mounted units.
The fixture operates from 100V to 277V at 50/60Hz. Power factor is greater than 0.90 and THD is less than 20%.
Adjustability and Control Options
The built-in photocell controls fixture operation based on ambient light conditions. This supports automatic nighttime operation without a separate photocell.
This fixture is not dimmable. It is configured for standard on/off operation through the photocell and building electrical system.
Longevity and Reliability
The LED light source is rated for 50,000 L70 hours. L70 indicates the point at which light output is maintained at 70% of its initial level.
The emergency backup battery provides backup operation when normal power is unavailable. Battery performance and maintenance requirements should be addressed as part of the facility lighting maintenance plan.
Build Quality and Physical Characteristics
The fixture uses a die-cast aluminum housing with a bronze finish and a polycarbonate lens. The compact housing measures 10.4 inches high by 6.3 inches wide by 3.86 inches deep.
Fixture weight is 1.4 pounds. The IP65-rated construction is intended for exterior wall mounting where the fixture is exposed to dust and water.
Where This Product Fits Best
This low-output wall pack fits exterior wall locations that need localized lighting around building surfaces, entries, and perimeter areas. The wall-mounted form factor supports installations where light needs to project outward from the building.
- security lighting
- building exterior lighting
- commercial exterior wall lighting
- building facade lighting
- perimeter lighting
- entry lighting
The IP65 rating supports exterior exposure. The 960-lumen output is suited to localized wall lighting rather than high-output area coverage.
Installation and Long-Term Use
This fixture mounts directly to a wall surface and operates on 100-277V electrical systems. Confirm the wall surface, wiring condition, and mounting location before installation.
The built-in photocell requires an unobstructed view of ambient light for expected operation. Avoid placing the fixture where nearby lighting can cause the photocell to cycle unnecessarily.
How This Fixture Is Commonly Used
In security lighting, building exterior lighting, and perimeter lighting layouts, fixtures are mounted along wall surfaces to create overlapping light coverage. Mounting height is determined by the wall location and the required coverage pattern.
For entry lighting and commercial exterior wall lighting, placement is generally centered on the area requiring illumination. Spacing varies with mounting height, wall layout, target light levels, and the Type 5 distribution.
Safety, Certifications, and Warranty
This fixture is UL listed and IP65 rated.
The fixture includes a 5-year warranty.
