Disaster Recovery Following Hurricane Maria
From September 19 to 21, 2017, Hurricane Maria impacted Puerto Rico as a major hurricane, causing immense destruction that triggered a humanitarian crisis. Maria was one of the most damaging storms to hit the island in over 90 years, devastating communities with catastrophic winds and rain. Buildings were destroyed, infrastructure was crippled, and essential services were disrupted.

The poles were specifically engineered to withstand high-wind conditions using government-provided Effective Projected Area (EPA) wind data.

Rebuilding Helechal Park
LED Lighting Supply’s lighting and pole specialists designed a lighting layout for the Helechal Park baseball field reconstruction project. EPA (Effective Projected Area) ratings measure the wind resistance of light fixtures and poles for specific geographic locations. These ratings were critical during project planning to help ensure appropriate structural specifications for the local wind conditions.
Stadium Lighting Solution
The 24 high-performance LED stadium lights were selected for their visibility performance and durability features. These fixtures offer:
