What Are LED Explosion Proof Flood Lights?
LED Explosion Proof flood lights are flood-style lighting fixtures. They’re tested and certified as explosion-proof rated. They attach to poles or walls like a typical flood light with the mounting hardware that comes with it.
When Does It Make Sense to Use LED Explosion Proof Flood Lights?
Explosion rated flood lights are for outdoor work areas considered hazardous. In these areas, flood lights need a C1D2 certification and in some cases, a C1D1 certification. For non-hazardous areas, a non-explosive LED flood light is fine and cost efficient.

What Color Temperature Is Best to Use for Explosion Proof Flood Lights?
We would recommend 5000K. It’s a color temperature that’s well suited for industrial applications.
FIXTURES AND FITTINGS
Can LED Explosion Proof Flood Light Fixtures Withstand Being Outdoors In Harsh Environments?
Yes, they can. They are IP rated for wet location installations. Rain and snow will not damage these fixtures.
