What are 277 Volt High Bay Lights?

277 Volt LED high bay lighting fixtures are fixtures that can handle voltages supplied at 277 Volts from the panel. However, the LED drivers associated with these lights operate in a range of voltages from 100 volts to 277 Volts. When turned on, the drivers detect the voltage of the line coming in and automatically adjust to the incoming voltage. The electrician does not need to set the voltage.

A light operating at 277 volts would result in a significantly less amp draw per fixture than one running at 120 Volts. This means the electrician could add more lights per circuit at 277 volts than at 120 volts.

We also have 480 Volt LED High Bays.
