Vapor tight light can withstand water sprayed at it by a 0.25 inch nozzle, regardless of the water's direction. This light fixture is protected against such water jets and foreign bodies and works outdoors.
Waterproof light fixture can withstand water sprayed at it from a 0.5 inch nozzle from any direction.
